The big 3 were Micah Richards, Michael Johnson and Daniel Sturridge who were maybe the best young defender, midfielder and striker in the league at that time and then they also had guys like Kasper Schmeichel, Nedum Onuoha and Stephen Ireland and even guys like Ben Mee and Kieran Trippier who just didn't get a sniff so left early. Strurridge got poached by Chelsea, Johnson had mental health issues and Richards had his injures. Schmeichel ended up having a great career and I think Onuoha and Ireland could have been better had City not ended up with all that money and pushed them to one side. It would have been nice to see what could have been if all those players came through together.
