oh man. I ate it SOOOO hard there closing weekend last season. And there are some oddly comfy rocks to chill on around that blue truck parked behind you in the opening shot. took me a couple laps to "get my legs" but I had a blast. Either 16:04 or 16:08 is where i ate it. First trail of the day. Aparently I bounced and it looked AWFUL. but I was fine and we rode nearly every trail that day. Those were my first blacks.
Man You should check out Sugarcamp in Eastern Ky. It's serious downhill Tec. Free to ride but bring some friends so you can shuttle. They have a race coming up there real soon and they will be shuttling party laps. you just have to sign up.
As a Chattanooga rider it was cool to see some of those trails I haven't been on. I ride at Jarrod's Place every single weekend that I'm free and it is absolutely the best place around to progress jumping skills. Faster speeds, big but safe, steeper lips to progress on - best made jumps. Don't shy away from pre-riding Upper Air Supply.
@@darylbrown7889 thanks Daryl! May pick your brain a bit on which ones to start on. I’ll be out there the weekend of October 5th riding Saturday and Sunday
@@RealtorMTB 1. Armuchie Express 2. Senior Discount (get there from Double-wide or Simple Green) 3. More double-wide and get Comfy on Senior Discount 4. Upper Air Supply to Kids Eat Free 5. Hit the shuttle trail step up as warm up for upper Air Supply step up. 6. Check out lower air supply if everything else is feeling good.
@@steveaj1985 dude thanks didn’t know that! I’d go out there this week but it’s looking pretty nasty the rest of the week😕 Was also going to hit Beech Saturday but again… rain.
@@Isaiahwrestling yup was going to go the other day but it had rained a bit and online said they were closed. Not sure how accurate that is but definitely going to get out there really soon.
@@Civil4Dummies I personally like to go to cedar hill for the jump line they have (double shot). I also like going to Percy Warner or Wilkins Branch. What kind of riding do you like to do?
Excellent video! I have really enjoyed watching your progression through the videos. In this video, you took Barn Burner like a pro! What wisdom can you share with others that enabled you to progress to your current capability?
@@jallen3311 you’re amazing thank you😄 I had to break some bad habits which included things like pulling up on the bars when I should let the bike do it’s job. Preloading too soon and also not keeping a strong base were problems for me. A lot of it was a mind thing. Once I was confident and felt secure with the fundamentals, it made me feel much more comfortable in the air. I am trying to get some sort of practice every single day, and that plays a big role too.
Like you videos man, Love Jarrods, im about there as well, next trip i should be clearing sr discount and upper air supply hopefully. Keep it up man fun to watch!
Neat video maybe I’m a weirdo but I couldn’t watch it all made it about 9 min I had to move on the heavy breathing audio was too much maybe turn audio down a little in edit or little back ground music but just wasn’t a fan of that I live here I ride here season pass and pedal to the top out of shape and I don’t breath that hard no hate just tuff to listen too. Thank you for the video but something to consider.
Yeah, when people randomly suggest Windrock to a total stranger on social media, I cringe. I've course marshalled for TN Nationals and ridden Piggy Back and Hog Wild.
will be there to try the trails out soon. just reached home in smyrna from vee hallow mtb in Townsend, they got nice trails and a pretty good jump zone.
Hey neighbor...if you wife wants someone to ride green/blues out there, holler at me when you see my truck at home. I'll be in the first full week of Nov.
@@jmovision270 it is on my chin. You can see it if you enlarge my profile pic. I’ve been meaning to get a lower angle to get the bars in the shot. Should I keep it where it is or adjust it?
Dude, please don't film RU-vid videos and drive. We can literally see you holding up your phone in front of you. Even if you aren't worried about your own well-being, stop it so you don't hurt/kill others.
Hell yeah brother, I haven’t been here since early may and it seems like a lot has changed! I’m eager to get back out there soon! Nice riding btw this place 100x steeper than it appears on go pro haha
That place is crazy! You're pretty skilled bro. I can do the six pack on Barn Burner (at Baker) but not most of the rest of the jumps further down. I'm so close I can feel it, but man those jumps true size does not come across on camera!
