So WHEN did the Mahabharata war happen? A man called Nilesh Oak claims, in a book he published, that it was in 5651 BCE. This he claims is based on astronomical observations. I've seen SO MANY other claims of the date while searching on the 'net. I also searched about when Lord Krishna lived, and I found 3229 BCE to be the date he was born. Since he was the most important character in the story, the two dates cannot be reconciled. Your World History Encyclopedia wisely avoids dating the war. All these "date wars" will likely go on and on...

It is simply mind blowing these conclusions these tubers come up with... We still can't figure out the Mathematics they used to build the pyramids, all we have are some measurements. The day the west know how, best believe they will be springing up like forest fire. The illiterates mapped the celestial body to the degree of precision that accounts for wind. Gave Greece literature, science, mathematics, engineering... Which then filtered down to the rest of Europe... The modern world is built on scraps we took from graves pyramids scrolls carvings... so what does that make us? So what was in those books in the library of Alexandra that Greece set on fire, 3D donkeys? Yet the world follows the gods the illiterates gave the world... That is called religion by the way. Well well...

HOW...how did a city in Africa, come to be named, "Alexandria" in the first place? There used to be only two great libraries... one was in Timbuktu, and the other was in either (my Goad, I've forgotten the other. .. I have to re-listen to Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan!) ... or Dr. John Henrick Clarke.. but remember it was the Moors and Sub-Saharan Africans who brought Europe out of the Dark Ages. Much of ancient Greek knowledge was plagiarized. Ancient Egypt was like America of that age in that it was multi-cultural, but it rose out of Black Kemet.

Who is really the bad guys here Catiline who wanted to keep promises made to Veterans and relieve tax burdens on the working class or elites like Cicero and Cato that wanted their political enemies to be executed without even a fair trial? The reason the Roman Republic was falling apart was because of hypocritical elites like Cicero and Cato who corrupted the Republic and its values.

Thank you for this video, well documented and presented. It is a pleasure to hear the history. Sri Lanka was under British rule for 150 years, it was really hard when it comes military conflicts between native people and English colonizers, every country has a painful history. But, at the end of the colonization, English left many things in our country, still we are called a third world country!

I live in Washington DC which has Roman-Greek architectural influences all over the place. The Capitol building itself, the National Archives, Jefferson Memorial; Lincoln Memorial after the Parthenon. With building height limits and expansive green space and parks it is amazingly open.

You have several errors in this video. Amazons, Scythians have NEVER been a part of the Greek World as you put it. Amazons are female warriors of Sarmations. Both Scythians and Sarmations are Iranian (Aryan) tribes. Please study history objectively, not through the eyes of the Greeks that often have gotten the whole thing wrong because they may have only had a superficial or second or third hand heresays as a part of their understanding, without even knowing the languages of the people they have written about. For many centuries Greeks including Herodotus had lived under the Iranian rule, yet they incorrectly call Iranians Persians! A huge mistake that Herodotus and other so called Greek historians have created and is a source of MUCH confusion in the West and other cultures. I wonder if the Greeks could not get the names of their rulers tribes wrong, what else they have gotten wrong. To call Iranians Persians, is like calling USA Ney York city.

Indeed, I believe that loyalty to the family was a weakness during the reign of Marcus Aurelius, to insist that he did not know what his governors were doing, the Christian persecution, is naive. Marcus Aurelius was an excellent emperor; however, it is very unrigorous to treat him as if he were some kind of saint philosopher. If we review the responsibility and decision-making of an emperor in Rome, we have to agree that it is a joke for such an emperor to govern as a philosopher, no matter how much training he has in that regard.

Zacharias Papantoniou (Greek: Ζαχαρίας Παπαντωνίου) was a Greek writer. He was born in Karpenissi of Evrytania in February 1877 and died in Athens in 1940. He spent the first years of his life in Granitsa, where his father was a teacher. Apart from a writer, he was also a journalist. Many of the works of Zacharias Papantoniou, unfortunately, are censored because they tell the truth on Greek history. In that censored group is also the book, ''The King Otto''. Below we state a fragment from this book: ''The young Prince for first time come in Athens on January 25, 1833, he hardly heard anyone speak in Greek and so he asked: "Where are the Greeks in Athens?" His court looked at each other and answered: "There are no Greeks, but do not be troubled because this Albanian population will always be faithful to your monarchy."
