Interesting. With the FX30, have you tried preserving the highlights at 800 and then using the 2500 ISO? I find there is a sweetspot on the FX30 for low key, just slightly under exposed. On the other hand the high ISO is fantastic for hi key. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s-mPXdpFEYg.html
Thank you. I cheated. I use Filmconvert Nitrate for 80% of the work I do. I'll make adjustments with Lumetri as needed, but Nitrate does most of the heavy lifting.
Great comparison, I feel like the Fuji is just behind, and fx30 is just great, I love fuji cameras but lately is just not that worth it any more to invest in the system for filming
It all depends on what you need. Horses for Courses, so to speak. The Fuji has better DR, better Latitude and better Rolling Shutter performance...and the ability to shoot 6K ProRes internally. But...if you need reliable AF, the Sony wins every time.
The Fuji looked better than both the F55 and FX30 haha - At least to my eyes. The FX30 seemed a little sharper maybe, but nothing crazy. And the f55 looked straight up crunchy; and not in a good way. A really cool test to see though overall. I’m honestly surprised by the results. I was expecting the F55 to be far superior to both, and that just wasn’t the case IMO.
@@TheJ_G crunchiness is spot on, I use a f5 and pair it with an A7iv I can get them to match but there is an issue of it being more muddy in the shadows due to the less smooth shadow and highlight roll off. What really surprises me about these old cameras is you can really see that they truly are the Venice ancestors when graded properly.
