I unscrewed the two screws and popped out the front plastic of the unit and took of the little black piece holding a cable because it wouldn’t let my filter go back in. I’m not sure what the black piece was for but I my filter slides in smoothly everytime now 😂
Midea is good when it works. I purchased two 12000-BTU units and both worked for two years only. The message code that came up indicated loss of refrigerant. I contacted midea customer service and they basically told me that they couldn't help me since the units have only one year warranty. Mind not one but two units with the same problem. I was reading the owner's manual, and it states that seals are covered by five years warranty. I contacted midea again and they gave me the run around. At that point I had no choice but to throw both units in the garbage. I spent $1000.00 to help world pollution. ☹️
I got a free troybilt TB110 from a guy moving cross county a couple weeks back, its basically brand new, it was an amazing score, but I'm not sure if I want to replace my old honda quadcut im using, it's a beautiful beast of a mower.
I got given one for free last week from a client. I was the last person to use it, about 5 years ago at their previous property. Still had the same fuel i put in it. Started after about 7 pulls, and now goes good as gold. Will make a great backup to my Husqvarna 580BTS!
There’s nothing wrong with buying a used mower because I am extremely knowledgeable on push mowers, and have repaired and sold close to 50 of them in my life. I have never possessed a mower in my life that has done that. In general, it extremely rare that a mower locks up like that. These new mowers they are putting out are getting poorer quality builds, and the motors contain more plastic parts that can break than ever. Older mowers are much better. That being said, since I unseized it, I have cut 100 plus yards with it and never had an issue since. Not sure what happened, seem like some rare freak accident. I like the mower it works well.
I have the same AC unit... Bought it 2 months ago... And now it's blowing out stinky air ... Filters clean.. it is at an angle for it to drain like it's supposed to ... But its still blowing out stinky air what do I do??... I don't want to take it apart to try to deep clean it... Thinking that I might break it.. any tips or advice??
Unfortunately, it does seem like you will have to take off the outer casing to deep clean it with a hose. It’s very easy to take off the case it’s just a bunch of Phillip screws, the chance of you breaking it are slim to none, it’s water resistant all around just don’t spray any water on the eletronic control panel area if you got the eletronic control panel.
Thanks to your video I finally was able to put the filter in the correct way! Trouble was only about 5” clearance between window sill and A/C filter slot….had to bend filter to pull out and to replace after I cleaned it….scared I was going to crack or break the filter! All is good no crack,no break and it went in smooth. Now I’m just going to enjoy the clean cold air. Thanks again to you and RU-vid
We have three 5000 BTU Midea A/Cs and we love them all!!! They work great!!! We live in a mobile home and we have one unit in the living room and it cools it wonderfully! They are so reasonable and well worth the price!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ty. I have the 5000.unit . And I'm a clean filter nut. There is enough dirt that comes thru old shelter homes and dogs. Oh yes ! I reach the right side and yes felt the filter pull tab. I did notice when I installed. I wanted to read instructions. So as soon as the air started to fill crooked up...I knew. And CS closes at 4 Saturday today. So where did I go ? Ty.
@toxin8717 So, since my comment, no. But also, nothing bad happened without the filter. We all regret this purchase, but thankfully that thing works. In trying to take the thing out, I broke some metal part and now I can't get it in there at all.

It needs 40:1 2 cycle oil mix. It is sold in 3.2 oz containers that mix conveniently with one gallon of gas. In other words, you must mix 3.2 oz of 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas for this machine but the store sells 3.2 oz containers that say 40:1 oil and once mixed together with one gallon of gas will create a ratio of 40 parts of gas to 1 part of oil. The less the number of parts gas, the more oil needs to be mixed. Most machines today either use a 50:1 mix or 40:1 mix, and 40:1 uses more oil than 50:1 because 50:1 has more parts gas in it and less oil.
why is mine tilting to the right? it doesn’t lay flat because the back end is unevenly designed (the left side has protruding circles while right doesn’t)
Great video! So helpful! Does this AC have a drip pan for the water or how does the water drain from the unit? I just purchased this exact AC last night and it's now making water sounds when it turns on.
So I got one of these units about two months ago. Cleaned the filter for the first time today-not very dirty. However once I put the filter back in the AC seemed to stop working?? Not sure how I managed that one… it’s no longer making cold air. 😢 I’ve never had an issue with window units and don’t know if it’s just a bad brand if unit or if I somehow knocked something putting the filter back in??
The only thing I can think of is you knocked the black small thermometer clip thing down that is clipped to the back of the front filter grate, it was a black thing attached to a black wire that is clipped to that ac grate the filter breathes through.
I just bought this mower for $40 at a pawn shop. It has been amazing so far (about 8 cuts). All I had to do was add some carb cleaner to the tank because it ran a little rough.
I just bought mines today & I kept it at the lowest temperature making the room so cold at first the sound was going in and out high and low then it suddenly stopped blowing air. Do you ever have problems with yours now if so what do you do to fix it ?
I would recommend NOT drilling into the plastic of the window. It's not very strong and it's part of the window. If you hot the glass or weaken the window by drilling into it, you are going to have bigger issues.
