Nailed it...this was bugging me big time...just spent a hour with Apple support...you figured out the step we were missing...send as text message then add!!!
Hello, what is the difference between Create New Contacts and Add All 221 Contacts? I have existing contacts on my icloud account. If I select "create new contacts" I know that it will copy the 221 contacts but how about the existing contacts would this process delete them? If I select Add All 221 contacts will this just add the contacts in the iCloud?
This was so useful thanks so much. I would have never figured that out myself. Unfortunately it didn't ask me to merge contacts so I have many duplicates in the all contacts list. Not sure what to do about that.
Thanks for helping. I just have one question the sycned contacts do not show up in my ICloud Storage. Is that normal cause in my contacts they show up in my iCloud list.
@samkinas3256 You may have to turn the setting on for Contacts to backup to your iCloud account. On your iPhone, go into Settings. Then click on your name where you see Apple ID, iCloud, etc listed. Then go into iCloud and look under Apps using iCloud and make sure that Contacts is turned to On. That would fix it I would think.
Retiring and losing my Office Exchange account. Was able to follow these steps and move ALL Exchange contacts to GMail. After searching for weeks this is the only explanation I found of how to do it. Kept all details including photos. THANKS!
great video. I need to watch it again. I have iCloud as default and a lot of contacts iCloud, some personal and some work. I have 297 in my exchange. does this synce both ways? I want them in my iCloud for back up, but also when creating a work email I want the email addresses to populate when creating an email. I hope this makes sense..
Not about this video but...2 years ago you did one on the Green Works Battery. I have a Craftsman V60 mower and had the same issue with the battery. It has 8 wires so I jumped them all as I couldn't find +/-. By the time the 8th one was on the battery came alive and is now charging. Thanks a ton. Comments were disabled on that video, thats why I said it here.
