I am in a new job and need to know how to use Visio. I'd never even heard of it and I am THRILLED to find your tutorials. Please, please continue to make them - they're well done and explained so clearly.
Hi Md.Saddam Hossain, you can see the formula if you stop the video at 3.25. In the case of column D the formula is =IF(AND(B2<=0.79,C2>=100000),1,""). Basically, we are testing cells B2 and C2 to make sure they both meet the criteria i.e. that B2 is less than 79% and C2 is more than 100,000. We need both of these to be true, and if they are we tell Excel to put a 1 in cell D2. While the maths is still OK and the formula still current, please be aware that this video is over 6 years old. Google, and keyword research has moved on a long way since I made this video - use at your own risk.
I'm having trouble resizing a complete floorplan model and keeping things in ratio. I try holding down the Ctrl button and dragging the corners but the moment i release the mouse everythings all jumbled :(
Hi David, not sure I understand the question - are you referring to the Competition and Global Monthly searches fields? Don't forget, this video is over 4 years old and things have changed somewhat in terms of SEO. The principle in Excel are still good though, which is why I have left it up.
Banphala kitti Hi Banphala, Thanks for your comment. Visio is essentially a two dimensional diagramming tool but it can be used for many projects similar to CAD drawings. Using Visio in this way requires the usual elements to be set up - a drawing scale, paper size and so on, but there are lots of tools that make it easy to represent drawing sections. On my Visio-tutorial site (link in the description) there are free videos you can watch that explain how to create an engineering drawing - in this case a simple gasket, but the principles are the same for most other scale drawings.
Maximizing the most basic things that you have in your computer will not just help you save time and money. It will also hone your skills in the next endeavors that you are planning to take. Everybody in this industry is almost familiar with this program. Thanks for this video because it really showed us how to do it.
but its hard to make phase 2 visible, for example when i present this to my boss i want to do it in one click, not to go all the way around layer properties then uncheck visible tab then apply then ok ... is there a faster way to show you phase 2 in one click?? thank you
You are very welcome! I always try to make my examples realistic as I found the textbook exercises difficult to relate to real-world tasks when I was learning Visio myself. Glad you found it useful and thanks for the feedback.
Thank you! I found information on Microsoft's site about layers, but none that so clearly showed me how to actually select shapes for a new layer (which is exactly what I needed to learn).
These data tables are too easy. don't you have any showing how changes in marketing expenses(for example) effect marginal income, or something on those lines
