Musescore won't let me download it - not sure why. I have looked in 3 different hymnals. Can you tell me which hymnals they are published in? Please and Thank you!
This is the first time I've ever heard this magnificent and powerful song and I'm a life-long Southern Baptist (nearly 70 y/o). It's in The Baptist Hymnal (1991), page 597. I'm still wondering how this ever happened. I'm not a "technical music person" but love all music (well, most music 😁). Anyone should be able to learn this powerful song of a call to evangelize after hearing it a couple of times. I will make sure that this is introduced in our church, particularly during our emphasis on missions (service and giving). Thank you for making this available! 🙏😇🙏
Good song. Hadn't heard it before. But what's the "Boise" bit about? Seems like a strange thing for Autocorrect to insert in this context as a better way to spell "by", but I can't think where else it could be from, and if Hoffman's first name really was Boise I'm absolutely surprised that this never came to my attention in the past.
I remember when our Southern Baptist church in Santa Ana Ca first started singing this in the early 60's. Choruses as they were called, were exciting and new especially for the kids. I still sing it! Finding it on this RU-vid site made me so happy!!!! Thank you!
I follow you on MuseScore and am so grateful for your uploads! for some reason when follow the link here the score there is an error message on the MuseScore page that says “the version of this score is not available in your country” I am in America and have access to every other score of yours that I have tried to download. I even went to your MuseScore page and searched for this song and nothing came up. Is it possible the file is corrupted?
THE CURTAIN WAS IN THE TEMPLE THAT SEPARATED THE MOST HOLY PLACE FROM THE HOLY PLACE! ONCE A YEAR DID THE HIGH PRIEST ENTER THE MOST HOLY PLACE! THIS IS THE CURTAIN THAT WAS RIPPED IN TWO! THAT IS JESUS CHRIST OPENED THE DOOR FOR US THRU HIMSELF ACCESS TO GOD THE FATHER!
Mr. Sweeney. My children LOVE the way you played There's Sunshine In My Soul Today, on Seventh Day Adventist App. The problem is we can't find this version ANYEHERE 😢. We love how there's a break and a key change. Can you inform us how we can gain access to this instrumental please . Thanks, Nadine
Hello Mr. Tillman! I visited your video this Wednesday, July 10, 2024 to sing this hymn. Thanks for posting and sharing it's music. It was good to sing it. God bless you and have a great day in the Lord!
Brilliant old gospel song! I've played (on organ) a great rendition; check it out at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c0T4vrWghDY.html :)
Luk 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Luk 23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Mrk 15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. Mrk 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
Mat 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
The Lord drew me to the little Church of Christ in the 1950's, I learned this hymn and have sung it 65 years. Thank you Messiah Yeshua, King of my life. Sustainer of my soul.
Hello Mr. Tillman! I didn't know this hymn had an alternate set of lyrics and tune. Thanks for sharing it. I was able to learn how it goes with your video. Playing again to practice singing along.
