Hi Stelios. thanks for your comment. I didn't learn in any school at all, I was self-taught. But now you have a lot of good animation schools almost everywere, even online :)
@@navasrosco1970 what would be your advice for an aspiring 19yo 2d animator that wasted 4 years not drawing and is currently desperately trying to catch up, I’ve been trying to draw for 8 hrs every day for the past 4 months since I’ve started drawing again, please you have to wander I’m a really big fan ;-;
@@sadidiot9686 ...easy answer...just keep drawing.Theres is no magic book or special trainning ,that is going to catch you up to this guys level. You have to put in the work.Get your Pencil mileage in.
I just watched the English and French trailers for Nocturna and was blown away. The characters are so unique and interesting to watch; if only I could download the film online. Aside from those created by Glen Keane and Andreas Deja, this is the best series of 2D pencil tests I have ever seen. Juan Pablo is certainly a skilled animator. I love his work on the Cat Shepherd (that's the big round guy from the video) and the characters from Jester Till. Great work!
Okay seriously, after watching 0:28 for like FIVE seconds I thought to myself: "Wow, this whole five seconds have been more interesting than 5 trailers for Disney's Frozen" INCREDIBLE character animation The acting is perfectly executed. I only wish I could watch the entire story of the big round guy. Was it ever finished into a short film? I'd LOVE to watch it.
How did you get the timing down? I don't mean the sound I mean it looks exactly like a pencil test for the movie itself. Great work. How long did it take you? What school did you attend?
