My son a gift from Jesus. Handicapped and only responded to music. God picked his flower and now in the garden of God. Shannon, you make music pleasing to the ear. As my son enjoyed. Please love. Use your music for the good of Jesus and love of many baby girl. Just a request .....
Huge DSD fan, great tutorial but I'm noticing a few inconsistencies when I go to follow along. At 1:06 Jessica plays the third chord in the progression (F# over C # second inversion) differently from the tabs, and from how it is played at 6:17. The tabs match the voicing that we hear at 6:17. At 1:06 Jessica notes that there are four main chords in the verses, but it appears to me that there are actually five: the slide into A#, which replaces F# on every-other run through the progression, which the tabs accurately note. I'm also noticing that she sometimes holds the first chord in the progression and skips the second (presumably for dramatic effect), like we see at 2:07, right around the word "shield". I haven't gone through the chorus barre chord bits 'cause she moves pretty fast there, but the tabs seem pretty trustworthy. Great song, can't wait to learn it fully!
Damn there is so much guitar tutorial content on youtube but I think this actually taught me something. Concrete tips on how to make decisions that support the emotional content of the song through control over dynamics and intentionally nudging the timing around. So smart, so tasteful. This is how I aspire to play.
What a blessed musician, voice!!! Though I became a pediatrician, and I'm thankful for this choice and my greater youth advocacy, mentorship activities, but I must admit to my first love: music, as an alto, tenor, baritone sax player. Music was a large part of my post-stroke rehab process to deal with 40-50 million brain cell, neuron loss. I thoroughly love music and it's benefits on my body and soull!
So without the Capo it would be C sharp minor & F sharp minor and then E major? I wonder why she plays with the Capo instead of just playing those cords and please correct me if my transportation is correct because I'm not a musician and I'm just trying to figure out how you play it without a capo
