This should probably come with an extra warning, despite the title already saying "hot swap". If you didn't specifically search for a hot-swappable keyboard at time of purchase, chances are your keyboard switches are NOT hot-swappable. I just bought a Ducky Origin and it's only partially -hot-swappable: esc key and all the large keys. Switches should come off easily. If one doesn't it's probably not a hot swap switch.
Omg, idk if this a blessing or curse (maybe both) and it might not be related, it could be just a keyboard issue or keyboard being faulty, but this keyboard recently started to hold certain keys. At first it was just the y and e key, but today it held so much keys that it ended up opening a lot of windows explorer tabs, like hundreds to the point where I had to force shut off my laptop. But anyway, in the search to find if anyone had related issues, I stumbled upon this video and now I am kind of scared and hella stressed out. Maybe I am overthinking it but I have been using the newer software for a month now and that is making me nervous as I login and out of a lot of my accounts. In my panicked state I have uninstalled the software, threw this keyboard deep into my closet, and ran windows defender and malware bytes to make sure there are no remnants. But even then that might not be enough and the damage might have already been done. But thank you for the video. Now I am going to cry in the corner.
do you have a link to the tutorial on how to upload a image? i ordered one of the keyboards today but cant find anything on how to upload a custom image
YES for a tutorial on how to make a customized loop gif out of something ! like how many pixels max are allowed, a free software alternative if people don't want to pirate a Adobe product etc!
my switches always break on top when i use the force enought to remove it and i dont have any other switch puller :( and i cant really feel when i find the pulling spots so i hardly pull 4 switches and all of them are broken now
I have a steel series apex, and honestly, I struggle with standard size key caps. I had surgery on my left wrist and it's super hard to play/type for long periods of time because of cramping. This keyboard saved my arse big time. It's not the best made keyboard in the world, but it's $50. If you feel a little cramped on a standard keyboard, get it. I ordered 2. It's COMPLETELY out of stock EVERYWHERE. You can't even get it second hand on ebay or Amazon. I was lucky enough to find someone with a couple, unopened, and paid $30 a piece lol. For me, it's incredible. If you have bigger hands (i.e. bigger fingers) and find yourself fat fingerings stuff alot. It's a great keyboard if you can find it, but good luck finding it. I talked to Redragon and they sold out fast, and haven't restocked as of now ( a year later). It seems like the normal redragon sales method, they come out with something kinda cool, sell it for a bit, and when it's gone it's gone and on to the next "new" keyboard
Thanks for this, I got VIA to finally work on my GMK87 by updating the firmware Edit: after updating the firmware, the LED colors have gone haywire. They are flashing erratic colors and can't be fixed by changing the lighting settings
I've seen some board with a physical reset button under the PCB, gotta dismantle everything to find it , IF this board has a reset button.. Please update us if you fix it!
Hello from italy! This keyboard looks really interesting and i was looking to buy it since few weeks, but after some research i found one that suitted more my needs (wireles mostly)...i don't know if you are interested in review it (for me is an unknown brand but i saw it is also sold on epomaker site, i bought mine form aliexpress). The only advantage it has over the keyboard you reviewed is that it has wireless (that for me was really important) and a lot color options (after years buying keyboards and having most of them black or white i was kinda getting bored and see a "red" keyboard cought a lot my attention, and i have to admit i'm loving it so far!) ...let me know if you are interested in the name to review it! Have a nice day and keep with the amazing work!
10:08 Exactly! :D None of my keyboards sound the same or go for the same sound signature. I try everything with it; I fool around with mounting styles, foams, switches and keys, and I come back to the combination that I like with that keyboard the best.

Hi! Just got mine. I am having trouble removing the switches and i do not wanna force it until i am sure that it is really hot swappable, though the box says it has replaceable switches and it also comes with a switch puller and additional red switches.
i needed a keyboard to include with a 1L batocera box. whatgeek had one of these left for $12 with coupon. I figured it will be good enough. if it actually ships.
@@gezimlimoni2319 I can't tell you how to spend your money, but if you'd like to wait, the next review I have coming is the Luminkey Magger68, a 65% aluminum HE keyboard. Cheers!
@@gezimlimoni2319 let me get this one finished, I'll have it ready before Friday, and then I can go over which one I prefer. I do plan to do a tier list video comparing them all, but that will be a little longer out.
Thanks for reviewing this one. I find your videos more informative than most in the hobby. I'm new to the modding hobby, but I've been looking at this Ajazz keyboard, LEOBOG Hi98, and the RK S98 that you reviewed a little while back. I build spreadsheets for a living, so I love my numpads with that full 2u 0 key. Not sure you've got the time to reply, but if you do, which of those keyboards would you pick (of the ones you've reviewed)? My plan is to mod the switches (to silent's) and keycaps, and maybe make other alterations within the case if necessary. Whether you reply or not, keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching, much appreciated. I am currently reviewing the Hi8 and really like it, but the Ajazz has made space in my heart. I would rate them as follows: AC100 > Hi98 > RK S98. Mind you I would gladly use any of these and be happy but I really like the design of the AC 100 and I'm actually thinking of getting it in a different color. Have an awesome day, cheers!
@MechKeyboards Thanks for the response! I had those in that same order based on what I'd seen and read, but I've never used any of them, so I was curious how someone who had would rank them. I think you've helped make up my mind.
Thats why you get it for the aluminum body functionality and the keycaps and just put your preferred switches in it. You get a alot for below 100 dollars.
