A flatbed trucker from the dirty south, motivational speaker, this channel will document my journey in trucking along with great information for new drivers wanting to come into this career field. "Eat or Get Ate"
Im stuck between DMT and Melton bro... Since you work at DMT can you honestly say you'd prefer Line haul % over CPM? I don't wanna be chasing all these miles like crazy. But on average how much were you making a month? If you dont mind me asking. I just want to chase the money not miles 😂
% plus you’ll get home on the weekends…if you’re a driver that like to get the family time in I’ll go with DMT if not if you go with melton you’ll be chasing miles and running all 48
You out of Florida? I'm in Vero beach and going to probably sage trucking school a after the year and in search of trucking job to train for. Any advice or pointers?
@@SkateboardK wow when I go for my CDL I'll take whatever endorsements I can take. Tanker, hazmat, flatbed, reefer dry van. Just got to find the right School and hopefully these companies will hire people from Florida cuz I applied for one and they don't seem to be interested in people from here
@@stevenvelders0 ok gotcha sage is a good school, but if you’re looking to go straight to work after schooling and with paid training I would prefer TMC trucking or Maverick Transportation for flatbed there have one of the best trucking schools and a resume to back it up…if you want to get your hands on everything I would suggest Prime Trucking they have every division…the main thing going into school is to learn as much as you can on the pre trip inspection and it’s vital to learn the in cab inspection also, and keep in mind that you’re driving the trailer and the truck, when you get some time check some RU-vid videos out on alley docking, offset, 45, and parallel parking rigs that way you can kind of have a picture in your mind of what the maneuver should look like you want fully understand until you actually get in a truck yourself and get a feel for it.
