It surprised me that you did stuff other than kids music. And I must admit this is really good! A guess no matter how long time goes by a fan is a fan lol. I remember going to cape breton and you at the queen Victoria park singing buckle up and cheap shoe song . “ what do you expect for a $1.99” Thanks for giving me and other kids a wonderful child hood
I first heard this song from camp at Atlantic burn camp in Nova Scotia Canada and I listen to it every night thankyou so much for making this song it brings the camp together so much
Few years ago in Sydney, Nova Scotia, you gave us your CD. We really love it. 1000 times thank you. I can’t express how I appreciate it!! My kids sing all the songs.
This would work really well as a treble version for children's chorus. Very nice. (Former elementary school music teacher) I see that you do a lot of children's entertaining.
Thanks MGB. Yes, music and theatre is my thang and children's music and theatre is a part of it. I grew up surrounded by it. Listening to some of your YT content, you sound kinda sorta accomplished. LOL Love your lyrics too. The song, Shine has been popular with Pre to K teachers. I've been contacted many times about being allowed to use the song as a backdrop to the faces of the children in their classes. Peace 'n love, eh?
@@DuncanWells Thank you, some of my work has been performed but getting it out there is always the issue! I also commented a while back on Rita's performance of "As the Circle Continues" under my name (Michael Bennett) Great song and one of her best performances on her tv show. I'm in Toronto....LLLLove the maritimes!
@@mgbchoralmusic6443 You're incredible Michael. If there's ever a chance in a million years that you're looking for songs for specific scenes please think of me. My last project "Donair: The Musical" was stomped to death by Covid before it ever made it on stage. In the end someone turned it into a podcast. 🙄 The humiliation of it all. LOL
Good Work Duncan Just Come Across you Put Together Very Well good Song Structure like your Lyrics Vocals Well Done will be Checking out your other Songs All the Best
Nice. There's another great homegrown song called "Its Our Canada" by Thunder Bay musician, Richard Eras, which gives a great coast to coast presentation along with an awesome tune. Check it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_UZ1Uik8GQg.html
Duncan Wells I think about you all the time... so much through the years. You seem to have vanished from some of the social media so I "went" looking for you via youtube... FOUND YOU! Your music is...as I remember it to be... splendid. This song is such a beautiful tribute to your wife. I was so sorry to learn of her passing. XXOO You add good stuff to my life and to the world. Thanks, Duncan.
It turns out that many songs I've written over the years have taken on new meaning since Theresa's passing. She was 15 and I was 17 when we first became boyfriend and girlfriend so I am now and will be for a VERY long time, crawling from the wreckage of what used to be my life. Big hugs to you. Hoping all is well.
I understand. Crawling out from the wreckage.... I've been on that lesson for the last 6 years after Cancer took away mu ability to play and sing music anymore. Music was my true love. Still in grieving as well. I'm rediscovering humor though, which is a very good sign. Big Love and hugs to you my dear friend. XO Kitty
This is a lovely song that I've been streaming on the web for a few years. It reminds me of Gordon Lightfoot. If Gordon had recorded it, I'm sure it would be regarded as one of his classics.
My dad died a week ago, and I saw his eyes close for the list time after he opened them as wide as he could and looked right in my eyes, so I love this song and keep listening to it for strength.
