Citation? Facts, They were brown. Or black. Never described as green 😂 i can understand you being embarrassed by such a simple error. Maybe just fix it?
@@Tristancustombike hmm… in the books I do not recall Tolkien describing them as green. Maybe brown. Definitely black. But I do not remember him saying anything about green orcs in his work. Goblins, yes. But orcs I cannot remember him saying so. He did have black hybrid types, the Urk-Hi (pardon me if I got the spelling off there) though.

I must differ with your opinion, though I understand why you might believe that. Still, it is entertaining. I love The Hobbit even more than the trilogy. Smaug is the ultimate villain until Sauron. No, I'm not forgetting Gollum/Smeagol.

There were at least 2 balrogs still in middle earth during the War of the Ring according to Tolkien or at least two Balrogs escaped the War of Wrath that lead to Morgoth's defeat. I'm not sure where the idea of only one Balrog survived when Tolkien wrote it was a "few" that fled alive from the WoW.

Tolkein originally talked of "Balrogs in the hundreds" riding on the dragons to the destruction of Gondolin. Much later, in "Morgoth's Ring" he changes this by saying that 3, or maybe 7 but no more ever existed. By this time, he has already said that the Balrogs were "destroyed except for some few that fled from the War of Wrath. So I assumed that starting with 7, 2 were killed at the Fall of Gondolin, including Gothmog the Lord of Balrogs. So at the War of Wrath there were 5 and most of these were destroyed save some "few who fled and hid themselves in the deep dark places of the World" Like me, you assumed that meant 2, one of which is Durin's Bane. But he may have been the only one left by the time of the War of the Ring, which is over 5,300 years after the fled and hid. We will never know.
@@franciswalsh8416 True, I considered only one Balrog could still exist, but it seems if a Balrog existed, there was nothing powerful enough to kill the Balrog except a Great Dragon, and the Wise should have heard of a Balrog being destroyed especially after so many years passed.

After Ancalagon fell and whatever bolrogs fled to hide in the abyss I’m assuming Smaug had the same idea and got the hell out of Beleriand . I wonder exactly when he made his move on the lonely Mt and how long did the dwarves fight before fleeing?
Smaug was born during the 3rd age and was less than a thousand years old. So he never knew or see Beleriand that fell during the 1st age. Where he really came from is a guess, but pobably from the far north.

So much to unpick here. Cool, engaging title but totally irrelevant to the very limited information you put forward. Your repetitive and badly paced dialogue asks a lot of questions but provides absolutely no answers. I kept rewinding the video thinking I had missed something but no, you just raise the same points over and over again without answering any of them. What is the story of the Orcs in the works of JRR Tolkien? You never actually get around to answering that fairly fundamental question. Your own text says...."Who are Orcs? What happened to them? How did they live? What were they doing?" Excellent questions and a subject well worth exploring. But you don't. And if you do any more videos FFS fix the dreadful AI voiceover, the pacing, pronunciation and cadence of the voice is all wrong and really boring.
