What a great video and a great service! I'm wondering where it is that you cross under the interstate - is that the road to Goffs, and eventually Kingman via Laughlin? As far as fixing the road: as much as I like taking 66, even I have to admit that there are many, many better uses for highway money than fixing this road.
Does anyone know why the town of Chambless is blocked off with roads closed on both sides like this? Mutants cults monsters? 😈💜 I’ve been going to Amboy for years now it seems like it’s been blocked off for at least 5 years or more now? I’m doing scary stories and lore about Route 66 abandoned towns and roads.
With 95 closed due to an avalanche, this was the only option in our 40' Class A yesterday Unless we wanted to drive all the way to Moab... I had to 3 point that turn @3:15 and only had about 1' of clearance from rocks near mile marker 8. Doable, but not for the feint of heart.

Nice trip. Thanks for sharing. That's the one thing I miss most about Utah is its beautiful scenery, although the scenery i was used to was way up north and a lot greener. Did you start at US 89? That's where I tracked you back to on google maps.

just returned from alamo lax,as I thought from the video,the only car in luxury lot was a cadilac XT5,suv. It was a beautiful car all the same,but I noticed on returning there where some xts cadillac saloon type waiting to be cleaned at the return area. The premium collection wasnt great either,or indeed the convertible,im suspecting alamo are cutting corners a bit.still its s amazing that you can select your own car and just drive out,if you have done everything on line. we may collect from vegas next year think they may have a bigger choice than lax?
With Alamo Ford Expedition are full size SUV. orTaho / Suburban. Premium would be a Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Escalade. You better ask, I can't garantee
thanks for the video,gives a great look at the car selection at alamo lax. notice they only have SUV in the luxury category,and the premium selection isnt great either. hope theres a better choice when we pick up on june 11th,have luxury booked,but the choice seems much more limited than last year. definitely dont want SUV as a luxury car,and dont even think it comes under "or similar" but anyway great video!
