Usually backlashes aren’t that bad, it’s all about learning how to take them out. But to stop this from happening is to set your magnetic brakes onto max.
Nice job on your catches but your fish and hook removal skills are horrible. You shouldn't use those jaw speaders or hold the fish behind the gills like that.
Oh man. It's been 15 years since I've ice fished, hope you guys had fun! We didn't get ice long enough for anyone to do much this year, less than a month. Usually it's frozen the entire winter 😢
