One of the best parts of James Lapine's book about the making of 'Sunday' is talking with Danielle about her first audition for him - he said he instantly liked her because she wasn't trying to be cute like the other girls, and that she was just there "to have an adventure." And Danielle herself says she just didn't know enough about the theater to be nervous.
Jack Jack Jack, Head in a sack, The house is getting colder, This is not the time for dreaming---- Chimney stack Starting to crack, The mice are getting bolder, The floor's gone slack, Your mother's getting older, Your father's not back, And you can't just sit here dreaming pretty dreams. 💔
She is amazing, this actress/singer. She keeps making me laugh and cry. This version is orders of magnitude better than the movie... Isn't it nice to know a lot And a little bit not. WOW!
The ten Commandments: Will you go to heaven after you die? "For whoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all" (James 2:10). You have to face the Holy God on judgment day. He sees lust as adultery (Matt 5:28) and hatred as murder ( 1 John 3:15). Will you be guilty? Jesus took your punishment on the cross, and rose again, defeating death, to save you from Hell. Repent (Luke 13:5) and trust in him today. " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"((John 3:16))
Mother said, "Straight ahead" Not to delay or be mislead I should have headed her advice But he seemed so nice And he showed me things Many beautiful things That I hadn't thought to explore They were off my path So I never had dared I had been so careful I never had cared And he made me feel excited Well, excited and scared When he said, "Come in!" With that sickening grin How could I know what was in store? Once his teeth were bared Though, I really got scared Well, excited and scared But he drew me close And he swallowed me down Down a dark slimy path Where lie secrets that I never want to know And when everything familiar Seemed to disappear forever At the end of the path Was Granny once again So we lay in the dark 'Til you came and set us free And you brought us to the light And we're back at the start And I know things now Many valuable things That I hadn't known before Do not put your faith In a cape and a hood They will not protect you The way that they should And take extra care with strangers Even flowers have their dangers And though scary is exciting Nice is different than good Now I know: Don't be scared Granny is right, Just be prepared Isn't it nice to know a lot! And a little bit not
I think Little Red Riding Hood has an excellent voice. My only slight bone of contention, is that she is singing a little too fast. If she had just slow it down a little bit, so the audience can internalize what she's saying. That would have been a lot better.
I absolutely love the Baker’s dead-pan *Y e s* Not leaving much room for his wife to come up with an excuse as to why they just ripped off a little boy
when she says "do not put your faith in a cape and hood, they will not protect you the way that they should" it's like when people think that girls just have to cover up and they'll be safe from r@pists and/or $exual abu$ers (which is just not true at all.)
I got a chance to meet Pamela Winslow (Rapunzel) when my high school invited her to our concert. She was so lovely, I wish I had the courage to actually speak to her or ask for an autograph. She even sang the song that was added for the revival (playing Rapunzel and the Witch at the same time😂😂😂)
A good actor/actress, even one who is doing musical doesn't need to be in key all of the time lol. It's not pop, they're not there to be 100% beautiful to your ear. That's not what makes a good singer good.
The only reason I'm here is because I'm playing the role of ome of the step-sisters in a musical production and needed to know who my character is😂 but this looks fun haha
