@@DuanesCustomBaitshey do you know Jeff, the dude that comes to the flea market and bought some fishin tackle bait, well if you do I am the blonde kid that comes with him we bought your orange bait, I can’t wait to use it this summer. And I was talking about the flea market at wyse, south Virginia. I’m pretty sure that is where it is but just a heads up next time I go there and see you I’m definitely gonna buy some tackle bait. We bought some last year and I caught my first large mouth bass.🤩
Where did you get those at I can't find the ones that you can just hook your injector up just like the shooting star where do you find those at please and thank you
What temp do you run your pots at? I use an infrared temp gun and set my pot between 250 and 300 on the dial, but my gun read the pot anywhere from 280 to 400 degrees. It's pretty hard to keep the plastic from overheating. Do you have this problem?
I crank it up to 400, let the plastic go through its changes, then turn it down to around 300, never had any problems. With lighter colors, add more heat stabilizer
@@DuanesCustomBaits just don't want to see a cool old boy helping others get messed up from it awesome to see we still have some hard core men left though 👍
As long as you have the stirrer, turn it down after the plastic is ready. But if you're using lite color's, it is best to add a little extra heat stabilizer
I have always wondered how you set it up to do laminates I saw the single one pot so now I know I am looking at get a pot myself and maybe making laminates later thanks again
It looks good but its hard to get the parts from ultra molds it looks like the shooting Stars has been out of stock a few months now so a set up like that one you have is the way to go I am looking into it thanks for the info
Would you be able to show a video of your presto pot setup plz? I’m new to making baits and I make them for all my friends and family and I individually shoot which can be taxing
I'm a crappie bait maker and am looking to speed up the process where did you get your system?i've looked around and can't seem to find it.....thanks for your video's i enjoyed them.
The pot and Stirrer, I got from Lurecraft, look at Parts On Line. The middle Aluminum block, I got from Jeff Hill, on Facebook, the twin injector, came from Ultra Molds
I'm glad I found your channel. I'm currently doing research for setting myself up with a soft plastics pouring set up and I also do not like the idea of using a microwave for heating up plastic. It's going to release so much more fumes that way. I have been looking at small pots to heat it up the plastic since I only plan on making green pumpkin, pearl, and black/blue single colorways. It's good to know that using a pot works 😂
To be honest, I've never timed it, I normally have something else I'm doing while it's heating up. I just add my plastic, color, unless it's a new color I'm copying, let it do its thing. I do crank it up to 400⁰, let it go.
It's 2 5 quart presto pots, 2 stirrers, all bought from Lurecraft, the Twin injector came from Ultra Molds, the Aluminum heating block came from Jeff Hill, off Facebook
Duane, I wish ya would put your set up on a solid heavy work bench. If you watch other bait makers using your set up and Shooting Stars, the pull it out using the weight if their body and do the same thing while putting the unused plastic back in the machine. I just would hate for you to yank that thing over and possibly spill a gallon of plastic on you. I've been pouring worms since 94, I've had some close calls over the years.
Omg love that color. Spoke to man this morning about red few reds he made we have alot swim baits but I think no reds at all. So just looking thru baits I've got to find missing colors man does it get costly I could have got me bus already if didn't buy baits all time lol. Last 11 months get some from auctions or colors just think kids like and found deal guy selling bags dollar each at yard sale few months back bags dirty oily guess few bags broke he had all in big draw 20 gal tote full plus some zipper bags full. But asked if ide give 50 said yes even paid double for some fishing line dollar roll had 5 just gave 60 said thanks. But need to go thru more never now years years saving baits might have gold mind in bottom. Lol. Or few reds. But hey loved this video love how it's done like that. Everyone got microwaves bunch machines you have 2 pots and 2 burners and molds. Very nice. They can learn from you spend less make more. Thank you God bless
Ps love the hat I wish I could buy from each maker that has hats but I ask for card and sticker for my kids albums put any fishing sticker in album and card album all small business I can keep on hand if I'm giving baits to kids I always let adults get 1 or 2 baits try if they like I have the info and fb page or RU-vid page they can order baits. I'm making over 10 box kits just baits from a maker there sticker on top. That way I no who's baits are who's. Being order many makers I'm using filie cabits to arrange bags baits so I no who's ehos. Just glad most add name to the bag. It's amazing how many makers out there but cool you have hats I collect hats used to get signed hats to give kids who's wants to be fishermen or fireman cop lawyer which still need banker. But I ask kids what they want to be when grow up. If one says fishermen pro. I take out the pro hats they pick one they like. One my first and 3rd was shaw Grisby he gave the first then Larry cable guy then Scott Martin tryed for his dad's but didn't get. Even got some cleaner for a boat. Lol. But thinking doing that again. Going around town asking about signed hats some even sent photo. But you mentioned your hat make me think about it again. If I had cash ide buy few from all the bait makers I could find yea some kids want to be cops or lawyers but most want to be pro fishermen or lady. Thanks for mentioning your hats. Think hurd red. Lol God bless
Hello Tim, I should have been making videos, but after some of the day's I have with mom and her Alztimers, I don't get them made. Try to do better in the future
@@DuanesCustomBaits Oh gosh Duane, family absolutely comes first! Taking care of your mother is way more important than the videos. I just like your videos. Prayers to you & your mother!
Good work love the video! Never seen a homeade system like that, but it looks really effective. Would you be willing to share a little bit of how you did it? All good if you want to keep it to yourself though.
