Atom Heart Cross Stitch was established in 2021 and is home to the original floss drop you can wind like a bobbin!
I started posting cross stitch videos on TikTok in March of 2020 as a way to pass time during lock down. Much to my surprise the account grew in popularity and what started as simple 60-second cross stitch tutorials eventually snowballed into a full fledged business selling one of a kind floss drops.
Atom Heart Cross Stitch grew out of an incredible community of creators, crafters, and true artists. To be a part of this community is a true privilege and brings me joy every single day.
Thank you for following along and happy stitching!
Wow!! I don't think I'll ever do something so detailed or large. I have artist ADHD and switch mediums halfway into projects. This is absolutely beautiful piece
How come there are long threads handing? I usually do embroidery and have only seen people cut after their thread runs out. It’s beautiful. Would love to try cross stitch
Does this wast lots of thread? I have only bought pre made kits and try to get the most out of the threads so I don’t have to try and buy more and run the risk of not matching the colours.
I don't know the name, but I do a start I learned with a Chinese grandma, basically you put the end of the thread underneath the fabric and secure it with a Stich, no loops, no knots
Do you have any idea what scale this dollhouse is? I'm looking for a 1:12 or 1:16 scale for use with Calico Critters. Most of the patterns I'm finding don't indicate the scale.
I’m new to counted cross stitch, I’ve been a stamped cross stitcher for years. I’m collecting methods and getting ready to start my first counted cross stitch. This is a wonderful idea thank you for sharing. ❤
This is a GREAT video. I’ve seen these threads off yo the side but I’ve never seen anyone take the time to really explain what they were, why they were there, and how to trim them (and when to trim them). Thank you!
I'm working on a printed cross stitch for my mom that I'm finding so much less enjoyable than counted Id much rather work on linen or (sometimes) Aida. The printed one is on a fabric like cotton duck. It's so much harder!
@scy1038 Burlap? Or do you mean linen? I only ask because I've never heard of anyone stitching on burlap. But I'm far from being an expert in these things so 🤷🏻♀️
So i know the loop start but is there a way to secure the thread similar to this at the end of the line of work too? Like a loop end but no loop? 😅 are you understanding what im asking? Im explaining it badly. 😂
Yo realizo cruz por cruz y me sobra bastante hilo para otras labores de mi gusto .Esto lo veo super pero se desperdiciaria muchísimo hilo y con el podrias realizar varias labores ❤
Do you have a video in how to end threads using the loop method? In a Facebook group I belong to, someone posted a Tiktok video of how to end threads with the loop method. The voice sounds exactly like you but it has lunascraft as the source. Just want to make sure nobody took a video from you without permission.
Thank you for looking out! I do have an older tiktok video showing the loop end method, but didn't create that method by any means! I actually learned it here on youtube from a video by the NeedleBug. Though that would be a bummer if someone straight-up took my own video and removed the watermark, but sadly that does happen!!
I am putting it at the top of my list to complete this series ASAP!! Life got so busy and I am honestly so shocked at how much time has passed by! Thank you for watching - episodes 4 and 5 to come soon!!
