Hi, my name is Logan Young, my nickname is Fox!!! I love to fish, hunt and share my experiences with you!!! I hope that you find enjoyment in my videos and also hope they teach you new tips and techniques that catch you more fish!!! Thanks for visiting my channel!!! ;)
You can walk around the State Parks and fish for a small entry fee per the day... or buy a annual park pass... most of it is privately owned but you can fish most of the banks that are at boat ramps as long as you don't obstruct the boat traffic
There are a lot of spotted bass in Hartwell... I have a decent amount of videos fishing there... but things that normally put fish in the boat for us are - Megabass jerkbaits, Pro blue, white, or green gizzard colors - 1/8 to 3/8 ball head jig with a 3" white paddletail swimbait something like a Keitech - Draging a carolina rig lizard 4" to 6" in Green Pumpkin - Ned rig normally catches them, I like Hot snakes color personally, but white lightning works great too ... I like a chartreuse head with that setup Best wishes to you! 🤙🏻🎣 Fishing around points and red clay banks
I fished near the dam several times, but I always seem to do best fishing in the main lake points and secondary points in the creek arms heading toward the big water... I haven't fished down there around Fairplay, I've fished a lot around Centerville Bridge area and also around 18 mile creek ramp coves
A ton of people talk about throwing White Flukes over submerged trees and Top Water walking baits in the morning, I've had some awesome days down there with a weightless fluke! Normally that works best for me in April though... Draging that lizard may be the best option this time of year. That and the 3" white swimbait reeled slowly. Just my 2 cents🤙🏻
Hello there old friend :-). Its certainly a real pleasure seeing you again Foxy :-). I can first remember encountering your contents back in 2017 many years ago and here I am now :-). Goodness its been since around about 2018 since I last viewed your contents Foxy and its certainly all the more a real pleasure seeing your interesting set of contents all over again :-). Quite a lot has certainly happened since I last saw your stuff Foxy but all is well all the same very much :-). Back in 2021 I got two beautiful cats believe this or not if I could dare share with you Foxy :-). A beautiful Maine Coon called Daphne and a beautiful elegant Russian Blue/partially Korat called Nyxie just to say which has really been all the more an elated delight having them :-). They can certainly be rather cheeky but I love them very very much all the same :-). But Foxy I do have some rather sad news I'm afraid :-(. On the 18th February 2020 nearly 2 years after I last heard from you my grandfather Edmund (1946-2020) sadly passed away which was a very very sad memory in life and I was absolutely shattered and heartbroken when he sadly died as I was extremely close to him I must say and did quite a lot with let along aswell as spending lots of time with him on and off in parts of my childhood aswell as in other parts of my misspent youth Foxy if I could dare point out. I can remember the story when I was a little boy when Edmund used to share this with myself and my younger brother years ago when we were just children about how he and his late older brother Paul (1944-1986) used to watch steam trains running near the back of their home garden which was always an interesting story worth listening to numerous times back in those days :-). I am certainly very happy to still vividly and fondly remember them as I can now share them with others too. But it did however really take me time in overcoming the loss of Edmund (1946-2020) my late grandfather as I was very close to him I have to say Foxy I really was indeed. My grandmother is still alive though just to say Foxy but very very sadly when my late grandfather Edmund (1946-2020) passed away that was it it broke Anne (born 1948) my grandmother herself :-(. She did make a recovery but did not completely recover from the loss as one can imagine. She does still live life luckily and gets through every passing day but she is not the same since he sadly died I'm afraid as one can imagine :-(. I am terribly sorry if I had to share with you the bad news Foxy :-(. But in terms of other news I did make a wonderful new friend and we are now best friends having had our friendship first established back in 2021 :-). I encountered and enchanted man called David Scott believe this or not and I am extremely close with him friendship wise :-). Oh we certainly do get on very very well together :-). He is the best friend I could have ever asked for I have to say Foxy as we both share some very very similar interests amongst ourselves I have to say :-). Also, David himself reminds me of Edmund my late grandfather I have to say Foxy, so, whenever I am with David, I feel as though, Edmund is alive to me :-). I thought I dare might let you know of this :-). I certainly do hope all is well for you Foxy my good old friend :-). Many happy returns faithful :-). From your old friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK :-D :-D :-).
It's so very good to hear from you Foxy! I'm very sorry for your loss. It is a very hard thing to lose someone that is so close to you. It is a part of life that is inevitable. We should appreciate those close to us, because we never know when may be our last time to see anyone! Life is such a wonderful gift from God! I'm happy that you have found someone who makes you so very happy! People and relationships are the most important things in life! Thanks for catching up with me! Wishing you, David and your cats the very best🤙🏻
Great video brother. Dude call me crazy but I'm 90% sure that i hooked that big one yall caught about 9am. She bit my spook on top. Got her all the way to the boat but she only had the rear treble barely in the corner of her mouth. She flipped over 1 more time rit at the boat and she come unpegged. I guessed it to be about 4.5 pounds. I was casting into that corner right where yall were at. Glad yall got her in the boat lol. Great tournament and great video as always.
Thanks Samson! It's quite a possibility! It definitely would be tough to lose a fish like that on tournament day! You are a much more experienced fisherman than I, and fished far more tournaments... If I fished more it will probably happen to me eventually. Hit me up on messenger if you want to set up a trip sometime! I enjoyed going out with you when we got to go👍🏻 We can go anywhere, one of the local lakes or Hartwell or Keowee... let me know🤙🏻
Shane sells lure blanks if you are interested in looking into getting some👍🏻 Sugartitcustomlures.com ... He's one of the biggest lure blank suppliers I know of🤙🏻 Definitely a cool hobby to get into
Good video. That was a herring you had in your hand. People say blue-black herring. But nevertheless it's a herring. They kinda in the same places as shad. They spawn on the red clay areas like points. Really enjoyed the video....
If nothing else it was probably a beautiful day out there! It's a wonderful place🤙🏻 When the bite is slow, I like to try to find areas with a little wind on points, if the fish are having to swim some to keep up with the current, I feel like they are a little more active ... they are definitely burning more calories than lazy fish in the backs of pockets... but tough days find us all 👍🏻 Thanks for the support and best wishes next time you are on the water🤙🏻
Good video. Look like yall had a good time at Russell. Camping look fun to. Also the One Stop use to have good hotdogs back in the day. I might have ate a few.....lol....Good luck next time on the water.
Fairly clear, for the most part when we were there, 3-5ft visibility, all the rain we have had may have made it a little murky... but your jerkbaits, small swimbaits, carolina rig with green Pumpkin lizzards and Ned rigs worked pretty well for us! Check back in the channel and subscribe for parts 2 and 3 of that trip coming out soon🤙🏻
Great idea cousin. If I rent a pontoon sometime this summer, will you take me and the grand kids fishing? Let’s make a date. I’ll reach out on messenger.
Any good catfish in Cooley? I just moved on the lake from Alabama a couple months ago and need some data... I catch small bass from my dock, Its a good time but I need some eatin fish. I'm probably 4 docks down from the By the Water joint.
Me and my brother go there almost every day and sometimes we catch huge catfish we caught 2 nearly 30 pound grass carp on lipless crankbaits 2 days ago we each caught a catfish, 14 pounds and 26pounds it’s probably the best spot and we lost about a 60 pound grass carp because it spooled us, each day is gets crazier, it’s probably the best spot I called trash 2 years ago, but I can guarantee you it’s a really good place, my brother caught his pb bass their too an “8 pound bass” and I caught my pb bass too “6 pound bass” so there is you update
@@Donut_Daniel good to hear.... caught some brim yesterday and saved the heads, may throw them on a circle hook and throw out in the deeper water today.
They were actually shop stools from a company called Northern Tool and Equipment👍🏻 .... We just didn't use the leg portions... They have a lift piston like office chairs have so someone could change their seat height if they'd like to, we did drill a hole into the seat so the majority of the lift piston is hidden👍🏻 Thanks for the support 🤙🏻
