Lori, GREAT Loaf of SD Bread. ALMOST what I do. I mix, overnight like you do. Then I shape....I have A LONG Sassafrass DO and my shape is LONG. I score. Place in the COLD vessel into a cold oven....Leave it to bake for 40 minutes. Remove Lid...additional time to cook Golden. BREAD looks a lot like yours. I do not like to handle a heavy hot DO. And I did see several videos where people used COLD oven and it works fine for me. Thank you for sharing and confirming what I am doing is FINE. Aria
I have made @BenStarr ‘s bread many times. It is perfection! No longer do you have to preheat your Dutch oven to 500°. He puts the bread into a cold oven & turns it to 425° for 45 min & then lid off for 15 min.
In each quart jar, you need 1/4 cup water kefir grains, 1/4 cup sugar and spring water. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved before introducing the grains. Add a raisin for added minerals.
