Hi. Iam a public school teacher from the Philippines and currently Iam doing a digitized module on r learning assessment as one of the topic in the Professional standards for school heads- a project of DePEd Region III, can I use this video in the digitized module that Iam doing? I find this video very brief but clearly describes what is assessment which is a very big help in my digitized module. Hope to hear from you Th
There are 2 types of classroom assessment in general, namely informal and formal assessment. Another way of classifying assessment is formative and summative. Formative assessment attempts to measure learning as it's forming as it's happening. The example is when your teacher already taught you in class and the ask: "any questions?". If the students reply with "no", then it will be assumed that students already understood about the learning material. Summative assessment attempts to sum up learning that has already happened. The examples of formal summative assessment are chapter unit and final tests. Wide opem essay questions that don't have an answer that can be easily memorized are an example of an instructor trying to do a formative assessment of students' understanding of conceptual or procedural material.
Just stumbled across this video. Very timely as I am gearing up for a faculty workshop on alternatives to the traditional research paper. The quote on translingualism is a real doozy! I think I'll steal it. I miss you folks so much!
Wow😂what a way to evaluate information from formative assessment I suppose😂and it happens quite often in many classes, from school to university. If the teacher asks for the purpose of clarity, that is formative assessment and when no response is given, then assessment and evaluation is done and dusted 😂doesn’t serve the purpose of assessment with no response from the students 😰😂😂😂ae😂preach what you don’t practice 😂Viva Education 😭😂😂😂😂😂
