Charles, You went too far with the notion we wouldn't be watching 🏀 without Magic, Bird, and MJ. Speak for thee and not for we. I enjoyed those listed above, but I was watching Bill Russell and the Big O (my lions), Sam Jones, Cedric Jones, and those Celtic players who won 11/13 championships, Wilt, Hal Greer, Earl the Pearl and many others. I'm a Bronxite whose father took my sister and I to the Rucker every week and sometimes twice a week. Those were the greatest players of all time performing unimaginably stunning feats. Players considered too "street" by the NBA who poached from the Negro League. MJ was a Brooklyn boy who learned from the Rucker. Hell, Connie Hawkins and Earl the Goat Manigault could eat a sandwich and work folks‼️ No fish story. It is insulting for me at age 70 to keep hearing stats when the beauty of 🏀 I've seen was stolen and crippled, then fouled up and bastardized by those whose dying league couldn't keep fans. Connie Hawkins was finally allowed to play when he was too old but still able to do a little something. NBA was then losing fans to the ABA: Dr. J, Dr. K, The Iceman, etc. So when people say MJ was the first to do it - that's BS! He was the first allowed to do it consistantly in the NBA. Stop dunking fans in the muck and mire of talented players who have brought so much joy to the game. Embrace each one's unique abilities. Get with Kenny the Jet of TNT and see film on as much from the Rucker and history of Negro League. Finally enlighten people instead of dividing them. After all, it's all a matter if taste and style. Give folks multi-course platters instead of the same old sh*t. Can you do that for a sister?❤😂 While I'm young dagnabit‼️
Maddux was pitching coach for cardinals when Pham played for them. Cardinals had issues with Pham’s disagreement with coaching decisions involving him.
