Some people would say that cars are perfect from the factory and shouldn’t be modified or changed. What’s important to remember is that these people are wrong. Welcome to Origin Performance.
Smh and the car repair shop tried to tell me I had to use Brembo brakes with brembo pads and brembo rotors only 👍 Thank you for this Video you saved me 3k + already
If u wanna get rid of the squeak i has the same issue new rotors n pads but it sqeaked aftr 9 mons found out i just needed a lot of freakin brake lube not just the rear of the pads but also the side and the 2 pins and the calipers where the sided of the pad touch also put some on the pins holder thing thats shaped like a cross
Under a minute 🤣💦 Not taking jacking the car and removing the wheel into consideration!!! If your taking about 60sec shorts I can do the house cleaning Do the gardening on acres of land Drive 100 odd miles just for the fun of it Stop off and get a weeks worth of shopping Clean the car when i get home Water the garden plants before dark Run a bath and have a long relaxed wash Prepare and cook dinner for the entire family Binge watch whatever shit is on the TV Say goodnight to everyone and curl up in bed Wake up, Wash and cook a nice breakfast Go do a long hard day's work get back and repeat all the same bullshit over again!!! All In Under A Minute 🤣💦
Did you guys not bed the new brakes in? With higher performance pads its important to do a serious heavy bedding process not only for the pads but for the new rotors. It transfers some of the pad material over onto the rotor and gives it a nice dark blueish gray hue. Just doing a few heavy stops during normal driving isnt enough. You want to get them like so hot that your brakes start to fade.
How do you like it. I just ordered the stage 9 yesterday, same pads, different rotors, rotors just slotted instead of slotted and dimpled. Did you do both front and rear? I just bought the front cause I'm getting the steering wheel shake on my g70.
I ended up going with IMR slotted rotors 350mm front and rears with yellow stuff pads. The car stops like a dream. Coming down the mountain hill near my house is a breeze now. I've also had ZERO steering shake since. Excellent look and performance.
@ericschofner546 you got the Fella rotors? They sound good, 22lbs wight savings is a nice little bit, That's the only one am seeing for the G70? Also, last question: Did you keep your stock brake lines, or did you go stainless steel?
IMR is a shop located "close" to where I live that spent a long time souly building for the stinged/G70 lines. I did not change out the lines or run a colder brake fluid yet. That same company is going to be doing a ton of mods starting in a little over a week from now. We're going to wait and see how the brakes react to the HP gains. If necessary, lines and a colder fluid would be after that.
Hey, I want to shoot a question about this project. I know 2 catch cans aren't needed unless you're tracking your gen, buuuut I want to do that just because I'm pretty heavy footed, and just for peace of mind. Do you think 2 of these would work for that? I don't see why it wouldn't but I might as well hear the opinions of others
Awesome, really cool……..guess caliper works standalone?? No brake oil pipe right?😉🤣🤣🤣 Guys it takes a bit more time since you can’t remove the caliper completely, otherwise you would have to bleed brakes after, and that definitely takes more than a minute
You can install this type of EBC brake system without going through the break and process properly. That means at least 10 moderate stops without coming to a full stop because if you do you will imprint the brake pad into rotor and cause nothing but problems. This is what happens when a guy with 200 followers does an EBC break upgrade and doesn't show you exactly how it's done and how to do the break-in process.
