I love touch math!!! I still use it. I taught it to my son also who wasn’t taught in school about it and it helped him so much!! Your classroom is adorable. What lucky students to have you ❤

It's already time for this?! Setting up was one of my favorite things to do. I've been retired for two years now but I love watching videos like this. Maybe I'll hire myself out to help new teachers get set up.
I'm no teacher but a Public Health educator but I love the set ups 😂❤ my mom tells me that I should go into teaching since I help her a lot with her coworkers. I got inspo two years ago when my son went virtual. I had my own bulletin board and stuff. I enjoyed it

i mentioned it in the video, but every friday instead of paper morning work, we will do morning bins! after my kids get unpacked, they'll find their name on the board and look at the number above their name! they'll then head to the morning bin cubby and grab the activity in that cubby! super simple and just a friday morning work alternative! we will only do it once a week!
I love your classroom and how you have your spaces set up but.. I do wish there was more focus on your calming corner. I noticed it was a small area with a pop it and the little container with a few items. Do you have other items to help with emotional regulation? Flip books with emotion photos for example - other sensory based items that focus on needs beyond touch. I also noticed the SEL section in your file cabinet is quit small - do you focus on SEL minimally?

some people like me like getting it over and done with so we are not stressing about setup when school is about to start. It also helps when planning for what worked, what didn't work and what needs to change easier for me
