The issue with handing over Tūpuna names is that many of the Tūpuna were there in support of Maniapoto and the many relationships forged before the battle. For example the relationship between Ngati Paretekawa Tūpuna and Tuhoe Tūpuna during the time of Te Amio Whenua. One thing that has not been mentioned throughout the entirety of this kōrero is 'ko wai nga mana whenua o Orakau?' They should be forefront of this kaupapa, but not even a mention, is this tika?
The "problem" with discovery theory and review boards relates to the imbalance of who's voice is heard, not heard, heard by who and not heard at all. Language in all that it is is action implied as a function and just is or never occurred at all.
