had my first day of training and i wanna cry. i didn’t really get properly trained, i didn’t have anything to bring home to memorize and stuff, i have zero clue about coffees and expresso machines and all that so today was very difficult now im doing my own studying. thank youu

I don’t get why you have to show the kids like that, can’t you blur their faces at least? Who consented to them being exposed on the internet and showing their living spaces like something so personal like their bedrooms? What is that? How is that not exploitation?
You’ve clearly missed the whole purpose of the content so I’ll explain it for you. I’m not sure why you decided to assume there was no consent as if this whole content collaboration wasn’t planned. I had consent from the school, who in turn have consent from the parents (who know that volunteers are in the school and are fundraising). Unfortunately it’s very difficult to fundraise for a cause if you don’t actually show what you are fundraising for… have you noticed how they always show children on charity advertisements? Calling fundraising exploitation is just absurd and before you make those assumptions again, what exactly are you doing to help fundraise for other people? Are you flying to another country and donating your time and money to help them?
@@EmmaNicole Whole lot of assumptions going on here as well. I have you know I was one of those kids once, it’s not the only reason why I voice my opinion, I don’t have to go through it to empathize with someone but yes and I am sure that there are videos and pictures of me in much worse conditions and it’s very unsettling in my opinion. The lack of consideration of dignity for these kids is absurd. If you go inside a house of a kid in the western countries, film them in their bedroom and their entire living space most would think it’s distasteful no? Even showing kids faces in general we have started to realize it is not ideal to put on the internet because of the internet’s dangers. So how come that goes out of the window completely for African kids? I understand you want to show the conditions so that people understand why they should help but in my opinion I would’ve done differently starting by blurring those kids faces. And I have you know I do in fact help a lot the orphanage I was in and others as well. As well the asylum seekers/refugees in the European country I reside in, but I do not post anything online for the sake of everyone’s dignity but I go around and spread the word and present in secondary schools/ higher secondary/universities and NGOs all over to promote ethical volunteering. There’s so many ways to go about it and even then I’m not posting anything online for the internet to have forever. All kids faces are blurred even if I was given a go ahead. The people who give the go ahead sometimes are not tech literate enough to understand what repercussions these type of videos and pictures can have on the kids and the African community at large.
Hoje eu e meu marido fomos tomar um cappuccino na Starbucks, preferimos as cafeteiras brasileiras óbvio pois somos especializados nisso, mas estavam cheias e decidimos ir conhecer o Starbucks. Foi a pior experiência gastronômica das nossas vidas, o cappuccino vem em um copo de papel oque já detestamos porque aqui no Brasil são servidos em xícaras de porcelana, assim que tiramos a tampa de papel sentimos um fedor de peido dentro do copo de papel kkk este odor se deve provavelmente pelo copo ser de papelão com certeza. Aí fomos experimentar e foi pior ainda porque estava horrível, totalmente aguado e sem sabor..parecia água amarga com uma espuma fedorenta por cima. 🤢 Starbucks é só marketing aqui no Brasil, ainda bem que estão quebrando e indo embora, porque pense em um cappuccino horrível e caro. Fico imaginando o café, mas, nós deveríamos ter imaginado é café americano ( ruim). Nada se compara a qualidade do café brasileiro, é outro patamar!

Hello Emma, lam currently living in Dubai but as a Ugandan national l would to start volunteering programs and au pairing. Can l have any advice on this please. Is there any fully funded or half funded program l can join please. I am currently joined world packers program.
You can just volunteer to sign a waver absolving your airline of any responsibility for letting you board without proof of an onward ticket from Thailand. All airlines must offer this, they just don't tell you because it's extra paperwork for them.
Yeah, Southeast Asia is statistically the safest region of the world with only 1/15th the violent crime of the US for example. For some reason Westerners always think anywhere non Western is like a war zone when in reality Westerners are living in some of the highest crime countries in the world. Meanwhile, you can leave your expensive purse or laptop alone at a restaurant in Asia from Singapore to Tokyo and no one will touch it.

You're so right! I went to Sri lanka last year and everyone was basically lying to me telling me I'll defo be killed if I go😂 I went and had the time of my life. I was careful and mindful of course but I'm never gonna let someone dictate my Joy. Also I'm heading to colombia soon! I can't wait! Thank you for your advice!
Hey I know it’s been a while from your surgery but I had the extremely painful sore throat too. I’m a male and had a bad crooked nose so had to get a septorhinoplasty only mine was a closed one. One year after I’m in two minds weather i look better or not. My gf and family say I do but I struggle believing them. Hope your well.
With your backpack (65cl or 85cl) would that still be classed as hand luggage, even with another small rucksack? (not including contact lenses for example)

It's a shame about the parents divorcing but probably for the best in long run, especially for the children. Good that they seem to have a good balanced routine. Emma, you are smashing it - have you ever read the 4 hour working week. Basically it says that our free time is our more valuable currency not how much money we make. The way you live you life makes me think of that book!
I'm sure Emma can answer for herself, but the extra job to earn extra money is so she can travel more. Spending your free time being able to travel the world is time very well spent, in my opinion anyway. So working a few extra hours to enable you to do that, is totally worth it.
