Principal Cello of the Sarasota Orchestra, Natalie Helm enjoys a dynamic career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and educator. She is the cellist and co-founder of the genre-crossing groups Duoskope and Sorella Duo.
Her preformances have been praised by Fox News as having a sound that “catches the attention of the room" and "leaves a lasting impression". The LA Times proclaimed the audience "was transfixed" by her performance that was "handled ardently."
Ms. Helm has recently released her debut album and can be found on iTunes, Amazon Music, and Spotify. She spends her summers on faculty at the Curtis Institute of Music’s Summerfest and Associate Faculty at the Sarasota Music Festival.
The founder of Upward Notes, Ms. Helm brings musicians together to perform and create opportunities to bring positive social change to undeserved communities throughout the United States. She plays on a Raphael di Blasio cello from 1803.
This is the most amazing preformance I have seen. My orchestra teacher actually showed us this video and we had to do a report on it, the moods it sounds like it goes through, the names of everything, and if it was a scene in a movie or the entire movie itself. You are now one of my favorite performers, and even though you didnt write the piece, the way you move it seems like you did. I am proud to be a new subscriber, So keep going and dont give up!
