So is the interior is not free, you actually doing something they say no, but expecting a reward for doing it? And also received a fake call, please bro, please
I like this guy because he is giving the real honest truth instead of these other young detailers getting on camera and acting like their detailing business and is perfect but they don't talk about the struggles and stuff like that. I enjoy detailing but the aspect i don't like is the losing money especially when business slows down. Over here in new jersey it is rough and there is an over saturation of detailers to the point im starting to hate being in this business but i respect that you are transparent.
Hello, I'm from the diversity detail organization of America and I noticed you don't have a single white boy on your crew!? I can offer to send over (1) gringo to balance out this crew and create a more diverse workplace. I would be that white boy.... 😆🤣
lol, we could definitely use more gringo representation. Send over your resume and a photo (we gotta make sure you ain'y no light skinned imposture) and we'll have our diversity hiring rep get back you.
My business is actually doing great, and this is the most views and likes I’ve ever gotten. How’s your business doing? Is that empty profile picture helping your business? I’ve never seen a business do that.
Please don’t do that and even if you wet sand your still scratching the surface and without tape and without masking the pint for your clear you have lots of opportunity to fuck it up and you might not see it off the bat cuz it still has polish and water on it 😅sorry bud
I disagree. I’ve been doing headlight restoration long enough not to touch the paint when I wet sand. I don’t do this with every car and I don’t do this for every client, but if the client wants headlight restoration for a certain price on a certain vehicle, I perform the service, and the client is always happy. There is no one right way to do things in detailing. All business owners should understand this.
Perhaps you were referring to my paralyzed right arm, which was damaged in a car accident that nearly took my life. It is rather unkind to insult people for things that they cannot change.
If you have a proper understanding of chemistry, you will know that quickly applying isopropyl alcohol will easily remove the tiny bit of clearcoat that may get on the paint.
Depending on how the headlight is designed, I can very often wet sand the headlight without causing any scratching. I know this is very controversial in Detailing and most detailers won’t approve. I don’t care. I’m not out to please other detailers. My clients are always satisfied, and I have never gotten one complaint about headlights.
Depending on how the headlight is designed, I can often do headlight restoration without the use of any masking tape. I know this is very controversial in the Detailing World, but my method works for me and doesn’t cause any scratching, and most of all, the client is always satisfied.
@@bagel_doug5093 not a chance this stuff actually applies very nicely but doesn't last more than a year... Factory headlights usually have a UV coating... Taking that off can seriously compromise the protection of the lamp from sunlight.
Yesterday I charged $200 giving $300 worth of value Today I charge $300 delivering $400 worth of value SO THAT TOMORROW I can charge $400 so that soon I can raise my prices and charge $500 I’ll never get to tomorrow $500 if I don’t start over delivering today Great advise
Great job. It's a great attribute, when you have good people skills. Interpersonal skills. Goes a long way, when your talking to you regular and potential customers.
@@donnovicki9771Because of the noise + water run off and space being taken up in parking lots/driveways. Air compressors turning on/off can annoy people. Vacuum cleaners also make lots of noise.
Killin em with kindness is #1! The tone you set with the conversation can make them realize this isn’t a type of service to be visceral over a non-optimal outcome. Try to make it right, if they refuse, do half the money back & don’t book with them again. Sometimes it’s inevitable! Tbh, occasionally, a customer costs you money. That’s business. All we can do is minimize the amount we contact or service and maximize the other 99% of the car owning public.
Take it from me as an older guy who's seen a lot. If the person at any moment at all mentions anything about a discount or a discounted rate, simply say "I'm not the guy for you" and leave or hang up. I promise you if you give them any kind of discount before you've even started the work, they are going to be a problem later. If you don't value what you do, why the hell would they? And as far as Google reviews go, I could wipe my a** with them. Some people, no matter what you do for them, are just not happy. I've seen places with bad Google reviews that are still going strong to this day.
God DAMN one step polish for $220😂 I hope you ain’t gotta give him iron remover and hella clay bar. Also I’ll bet the “protection” is either an all in one or a spray wax. Thank god you’re in a different county, I flat out can’t compete on that price 😂
first of all, another great video, however that charger quote, lol way too low. First of all, its black! On top of that, its trashed with hardwater and surface swirls etc. if its me, im at 180 on the interior. With the exterior: i got to acid wash the hardwater areas, clay then two step it! so i tell him, " i can reduce the surface imperfections on a one step AIO at 270 and wed can get at about 40% reduction, but then sell him on a higher level of correction for the 2nd step by saying its black we should try and go to a higher level of correction from 40% up to60 possibly even 80% for another 150$! and his total is at 600. Then according to his reaction if hes seems to be backing off, I'll revert right back to how great it will look even with the 40%-60% AIO at $450 if thats too hi then he can go elsewhere! DTR (down the road) i cant believe youd do it that cheap . but hey Im a one man show, Id probably spend 10 hours on that total and you bet your a$$ i want at least 60$ an hour !
I like your strategy, definitely under charged this job, but since then, I’ve been increasing the level of my service and my prices. I do my best to try to gauge what each client is going to want to invest in their vehicle, and do my best to meet them where they’re at, while at the same time, offering them a higher level of value for them to reach for.
Yes! It’s super challenging. What I’ve been learning lately is how crucial it is to be a good listener over the phone and not just do a bunch of rambling about my services without understanding their needs.
I usually don't have these type of problems because i start by letting the customer know i carry an AR-15 in the truck and that at i know where they live now.
