Hi everyone, I'm an Aussie Garbo working hard to keep my community clean and tidy. Join me as I drive my truck through country Victoria on rubbish, recycling and green waste runs. Hope you like the videos.
On google maps in jan 2024, there is a rural company in vic, wimmera mallee waste, and they had an mkiv single axle there, and a mkiii with its cab up a bit, don't know if there still in use though, hopefully!
@@BassCoast_Garbo912 yeah great. I hope that’s still in use unfortunately I think every other one that was running at the start of the years gone SL 77 rego expired and now they’re no longer using it. ATSL 140 has officially been decommissioned and moved out of the Nawma yard. Wardels got rid of there 2 which recently appeared on pickles I’m and that leaves this one and the one you’re talking about. Plus the one in this video.
She's an old girl this one, fitted with what appears to be a 25m MacDonald Johnston (now Bucher Municipal) 'recycling' body. Big paddle on it too, the old Acco's are a joy to drive!
Are there any other old trucks you use eg older mkiiis? Recycling needs to be streamed lined from what i see here as some of it isn't recycling! Eg paper and cardboard in blue lid bins and bottles and containers in yellow lid bins!
@will823 Well both are contract by Veolia but parra is this november before Ryde for fogo(food organics garden organics)which Ryde is 2025! As for new trucks they buy what's cheaper for the contract!
Sometimes, if there’s a long distance in between bins I cut out the travel time and majority of the time there’s cars parked in the way I cut all the cars out I can because of the registration numbers and stuff like that just for respect of the car owner
We do have a couple ways of fixing up mistakes if we don’t pick them up by the end of the day we get them the next day or we have the old bin maintenance. Guy will grab them
Yeah nearly all the yellow 80 L are actual rubbish years ago. The rubbish used to be yellow over here. And the old residents never got their lids changed over
No, it’s still complete and operational I was using it today. Just haven’t had a chance to get a video of it. I’ve been trying to convince the owners to keep it
