With years of experience under my belt, I'm excited to share what I've learned with fellow plant enthusiasts. Let's grow together!
There’s a lot of controversy with Harmony’s. That brand has propagated and sold many plants and stuck on the Harmony before the name even though they weren’t hybridized by them. They’ve sold many begonias and African violets which have registered names but falsely add the Harmony to the name.
My problem started when I brought home an infested plant from Lowe's! ARGH. That was well over a year ago. I've tried the peroxide fix, the Nemoatode fix, Completely repotting all plants in new soil AND rinsing off the roots and all old soil, watering with BTi EVERY TIME I WATER. Nothing is working. I even have the little yellow sticky things which, BTW, only take care of adults, not the larvae in the soil.I bought some Mosquito bits and will be making the tea with it and seeing if making it fresh works better. For now all indoors are banned to the hot and humid 100 degree heat of Central Texas. Read somewhere their ideal temp is 75-85. So keeping fingers crossed the Hell's front Porch heat kills them.
Hi there! You are correct, The Cactus Club is awesome! I emailed them on something in your video that was not online, the Euphorbia Abdelkuri, and they helped me get it. I placed a big order last night for my own plant haul. Hooray! Thanks for the content and the inspiration too! Very enjoyable!
I loved those two tall variegated cactus, also the one spiral cactus. So beautiful. That's what I would have brought home. But I'm in Canada and we can't seem to find them. WE have a very poor selection of plants at high prices.
I love euphorbia too. I recently found a variegated ammak at Home Depot for $25 with 2 plants in the pot! Such a great find! I love seeing the weird plants you find.
Awww you taught Zumba💃🏽💃🏽I knew it! There’s a certain glow to Zumba instructors. I love teaching💕Also, this was a great haul that beginia took my breath away!🪴
make sure you cut off that branch of euphorbia that's growing underneath the graft... it will start growing like crazy, and rob the nutrients to the top red grafted piece...
The two hoyas that you got -- Meredithii and Fitchii -- are two of my favorites. The Meredithii leaves can be really huge. Mine put out one recently that reminds me of a blanket. It's something! I grow my hoyas in somewhat less light than a lot of people do, which can result in bigger and darker colored leaves, but probably less blooms. With Fitchii, I feel that the darker leaves helps accentuate the lighter veining, which I think is super pretty.
I need to add this too, you have a few in your collection that I have too, makes me proud we have some of the same items. Also, there are a few of your cacti that need full sun in order to reach their full potential; I would advise to move them outside. ❤
My goodness, I have watched numerous channels of others with houseplants, or plants period and I must say your collection is phenomenal! Hands down the best, I'm saving this video and sharing too so I can add to my collection.
Hi Ashley, great plant shopping video at Cactus Club! I love this shop and Ivey is the best! Love all the plants in your haul. They all look so beautiful and healthy! Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰
Your Meridithii is amazing and the Rex Begonia is so stunning and the Euphorbia, well, it's very different in a cool way! 😂 Thanks for taking us along, great video as always Ashley 😊💖🌸
That silver begonia is beautiful. I don’t think I would’ve been able to escape without buying the Angel wing begonia Obsidian! I want that plant! Brilliant video again Ashley. Xxx
