The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards with TSB, celebrate the achievements of truly remarkable people who make our world a better place. Screened on ITV in November, it is the biggest awards show of its kind on British TV.
Nominated by the public, the winners are from all walks of life, of all ages, and from all over the country. Their achievements are awe-inspiring and a lesson to us all. They say they are ordinary people, but their acts are truly extraordinary.
Over the past 20 years I have had the great privilege of working with Eve at funerals in her home town of Nottingham. I have immense respect for this woman because of her faith and the battles she has fought to achieve what she has!
What makes these TV people 'judge' these people and decide some are worth awards and some aren't? I just read "pride of Britain awards judge" and thought to myself what an absolutely horrendous thing to do, judge these people, how dare you.
Watched this award presentation with tears in my eyes. My immediate response was the values Rob & Lindsay has taught their lovely children and all of us watching..the grit, the struggle, the courage, the love & the compassion they displayed simply by who they are & what they do. And Kevin, what a selfless buddy he was😮
aAN EXAMPLE TO US ALL.......LOVE IS LOVELY BUT THIS GOES BEYOND THIS.......WE BRITS MUST BE SO PROUD OF HIM AND HIS FAMILY AND ALSO FOR KEVIN WHO STOOD BY HIM NO MATTER WHAT
OMGG...!!!!!...I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS ORGANIZATION BEFORE BUT TODAY I'M SO VERY, VERY, VERY GLAD TO HAVE STUMBLED UPON THIS SITE. BECAUSE I HAVE RELATIVES WHO HAVE BEEN THERE , AND SOME OF WHOM ARE STILL THERE, I MIGHT BE AS WELL,... SO TODAY, ... I WILL MAKE A PROMISE TO MYSELF TO GET CHECKED FOR THIS GOD AWFULLY PAINFUL DISEASE. THANK YOU GOD AND THANK YOU PROFESSOR DAME ELIZABETH ANIONWU.🤔🥺🤨😲😀😊🤗👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. .
Such a chronic and debilitating illness. Yet, individuals with the disorder are not entitled to disability living allowance. This was ripped away from them many years ago maybe because the disorded is considered to be a "black" (people) disease. Yet chronic illnesses such as Cystic Fibrosis or others that affect majority of individuals that are not black are entitled to claim this benefit. The blatant racism and inequality that exist in the UK is utterly disgusting, disturbing and disgraceful.
Wow Rob Lindsey and Kevin were a fabulous team it's heartbreaking they've lost Rob but I'm sure the unbreakable bond they all shared will never ever die
This is the proper example of a Celebrity (Meaning people to celebrate) for their achievements, not all those shameless Instagram this or TV Show twitter that.....
I have a niece with sickle cell and she has battled with pain that one can not even imagine. My niece just graduated as a Dr. against all odds!! It is such a privilege to watch Dame Elizabeth and the many lives she has helped.
