When is the best time of year to wax the unit. We had new AC unit installed this year and I want to do this to keep it looking new. Once or twice a year what do you recommend
HE didn't even ask what kind of heat pump she had.Does she have an arctic heat pump DESIGNED for cold weather.Iam not the only one living in Canada and I can tell you they heat real well in minus 15 to minus 30.The only thing is their efficiency drops so you may want to use backup heat for real cold.AND I mean colder than what he's talking about
I’m new to heat pumps. We live in a cape cod style house. We recently got a Mitsubishi hyper heat pump. Our issue is that we have a thermostat downstairs and when I set the temperature it works perfectly fine for a while. Suddenly the temperature upstairs increases 5 to 7 degrees higher than what was originally set. Not sure what is going on. Hopefully you can help. Thanks
How do handle simply not harming the copper pipe coming from the ground into the compressor when leveling and lifting the connection several inches? Without disconnecting it?
That’s great but your video doesn't explain the MERV rating. The video would be better if you cut to the chase and explained the number. People get the balance of particle collection plus airflow. No need to give examples. Get to the rating.
My wifi thermostat relay got stuck and the heat would not shut off and I tapped the relay and it turned off. If it happens again I'll replace the relay instead of buying a new thermostat.
It could also be a plenum leak or an evaporator sweating from low charge and the fan is flinging water into the ductwork or if an evap is frozen up and that's and the condensate drain is plugged and overfill and condensate dumps into the duct if it's an attic unit with a stuck float switch. A loose evap cover on the air handler, dirty filter leading to clogged drainage causing a backup. Thermostat temperature set too cold.
The mechanics said the fan out side stopped and turn for few second therefore he Changed work but early at night the same problem I need to call him in the morning what could be the problem machine is only 2 years old thank you
My damper has summer and winter positions on it. If it’s in the summer position and I turn on the furnace for heat what happens? I live in Michigan and the weather is unpredictable so according to the weather I’m switching it constantly. My question is does it matter leaving it in a certain position and not worry about loosing heat if it’s in the summer position ?
I'm visiting my dad and had the basement doors open during the day. There was A LOT of water coming from underneath the furnace (HVAC) tonight that I know was not there this morning. I had the upstairs door closed, I didnt think it would effect the system too much. Do you think there's another issue going on or just that the doors were open?
if sodder melts connections together as if it was all one piece, why replace with crimp on terminals? would you replace every terminal connection in the unit?
This helps alot but I didn't understand the refrigerant part. Where does the refrigerant come from to be circulated? I'm not an hvac tech I'm just curious
The refrigerant is located in the condensing unit, evaporator coil, and line set. Those are numbers 3, 4, 7, and 13 in the video. The AC compressor pumps refrigerant through the system.
