After I used color stay and rinsed the fabric (cotton T-shirt ) in cold water the water was never clear. I rinsed many many times and the water was always colored. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Any tips for just wanting to dye spots on a few t shirts. They have graphics on them so I obviously don’t want to dye the whole shirt, just spots. I’m just trying to put black back onto the deodorant sweat stained armpits. I live in the southeast and it’s a freakin steam room out here
