Hi, I really liked your " refelting video" , but comments were turned off on that video and I just wanted to ask a question: Have you used SUEDE or Feau LEATHER on the bottom of any sets??? Some suede has a nice tight structure and cuts well --like a billiard cloth material, but is smoother--- what do you think of using suede? Do you have any recommendations on the "Feau leather idea! I apologize for asking on this videom, its just there was no way to ask on your "refelting video"--- that was a great help and I learned a lot and have have a lot of success in refelting my own pieces!! Thank you !
Great videos. I especially like the chess boards you have, even though they are not the main character. Would you know which types of wood this board is made of? Thanks
hello how are you doing, query after 1943 jaques london continued to release games but they never had the quality of their predecessors, is this not correct?
I’m a drummer, new to antique chess sets, you remind me of Chris Slade. Great channel, you are an excellent teacher in my opinion. Hopefully I can purchase a set from you one day. Thank you 🙏
This guy is a nut, complaining about the poor condition the pieces are in and then he throws around in boxes, even the set he restored. Is that a beer in the window?
Hello. Jaques originals were 3.50 & 4.4”. Four inch king was produced later but idk how much later. I agree with you, 4.4 is gigantic and I suspect they made it to be more a showpiece size. 3.5 is a compact playable size I take to club.
Hi, very interesting videos about antiq chess. I have old russian chess (1930 - 1940), and i want to restor it. I can send pictures of my chess (sorry for my english, RUS)
