CardsTellTales, I realize this post was three years ago, but I still need to correct your rant. I have noticed you spend a fair amount of your time commenting in the negative towards my small contributions to magic. Fair play. But at least be accurate. All the effect you have mentioned use fake parts and this does not... get a life or at least a book so you know your facts. Cheers- shawn
Even without the sound this illusion is awesome Juliana. A real mind bender. I met you at the Amazing Jonathon show. Charlotte introduced us to each other. You're a class act!
What's amazing about this routine is that Juliana is displaying. Historically this art for is passed down from father to son in China, and not the girls. As for the lovers of the Jeff McBride version, not bad. Considering this is a closed art in China.
Saw her live a couple of years back. Bad performers before her because it was a youths magic show, so a lot of teenie bopper dance troupe crap and kids' magicians. But when she came on no one really cared and we were the only ones clapping hard enough to hear. It was sad because her routine was better than this. Hmm...
The mask-changing effect is very old actually older than either McBride or Chen. Those two though have mastered it to make it very smooth and also add their own twists to their performances.
she is great but a manipulation act is different of what david blaine does... (criss is not a magician) however she oughta thank jeff mcbride for her entire routine..
She was and is beasutiful, when she is in her manipulation act, To see her in what I would call the normal look is fantastic, beautiful woman in both settings, First class act both of them. Met her at Columbus magicfest many years ago, very nice and cordial.
technically very true, but I'd try to say so in more flowery fashion, having met with the lady in person; I was at a magician convention in Southport (England) when a seller of magic tricks tried this one on her in an attempt to sell it.
