I used to hang out with a bagpipe hurdy gurdy band back in the seventies - played Macedonian music not a million miles from what you do - your music and presentation is superb - and takes me back to 1979 when I was 22 - thanks
Efren, always appreciate your music, and you are always involved with other superb musicians! Love this piece. My thanks to all 3 of you, i immediately sunscribed
A real joy for the ear and the eye !!! But, Efren, what are you doing at the end of this music ? Playing on the string with no fingerboard ? (I did see a guy who had a fretless fingerboard on his hurdy gurdy though)
Waiting for an album to buy this music. I need this and more every day in my life. As a boy growing up around Bulgarian and Turkish music, this is such a nice blend of many musical elements I can't get enough!
Beautiful video! I am both a filmmaker and a bagpiper, so I really appreciate the wonderful music videos you have been putting online over the years. I just discovered this video and have been jamming along with you on my Irish Uilleann pipes, which was a lot of fun. I am here in Seattle in the USA, and am waiting for a set of Kaba Gaida being made for me in Bulgaria. I look forward to learning more and more about music from your part of the world. Cheers! - Vaun Raymond
Vous etes formidables. Merci infiniment pour cette performance musicale et pour cette tres belle vidéo. C 'est vraiment sublime. Un grand bonjour d'Izmir - TURQUIE
If you don't believe in The Divine after that, double check that you have a soul... Love Sufism, love mysticism, love this. Best drum solo, best gurdy solo, fantastic camera and editing work. And then Meira's ney - oh! Ecstacy... X
I know the kez ney, but what is that one where you need 2 metre long arms called? And can I ask, other than reverb, what effects (if any) are on the ney played here. X
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking with perfect camera angles. The sound and flow of the song was so beautiful and immersive, I swear by 10 minutes into it I had tears in my eyes.
