Miss Jessica Booty began her journey under the alias 'Sica Limited', a nickname given to her by a university friend. Upon the creation of her latest body of work - a 2 part EP - she decided to return to her roots, opting for her own surname.
Part 1 of the debut EP, Echolocation, is set to drop in March 2024.

@@ellimac59 oh, I see. No worries at all. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I personally enjoy how the song allows space in between lines for me to mess around with my sparkly cigarette and ashtray props! Equally, it’s good to hear your feedback. I hope you have a good weekend. 🩶
the straps on the dress broke mid shoot and I had to be scrappy! No safety pins were to be found so I had to think fast. I grabbed the QR code stickers that I had with me for the video and I used them! Certainly not ideal but C’est la vie
Come to think of it, it was the middle of summer and the tube is so hot, and that basket was mad heavy. I was carrying like 15 apples 🍎 so wool isn’t the best choice
I got my tonsils out 5 weeks ago. I definitely Can do more breathy tones but have been struggling a lot with breath control and my vibrato. It’s so hard now. Have you had that same issue ?
I can’t say I have experienced the same issues exactly. I have always had trouble regulating the airflow from my vocal folds. I personally felt that after a year of recovery I started to actually see my practice pay off - I finally started to feel healed enough to work on and be able to improve an area that already needed much practice for me. Regarding, vibrato I didn’t really have any prior to surgery but 2 years after surgery, I was deep enough into a healthy vocal exploration that I was able to coax a natural vibrato out! I think what I am trying to say is, recovery can be a frustrating thing to wait for. I remember my surgeon told me although things will be more healed after a month or so, it really does take a full year for things to properly heal. Doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your voice now tho! Just do remember to take it more easy this year. Best wishes
Really great song n helpful video for me to write songs on my ukulele! ❤ I have a questions, is ur Ukulele, a tenor ukulele? Cuz ive been planning on buying one
Hey ssup? I connect the way you write. I have a couple of songs. Would like to connect on Ig? May be we can work on track.! Love yo vibe. Please do consider💫
@@missjessicabooty Oh glad to hear that! How long until you could sing again normally without any discomfort? I was scared because they say that the higher register can get harder to reach clearly because of the scar tissues up in the throat and I also heard that the mid voice can sound less full. And you didn't feel that you lungs/airways was filled with blood when you woke up? Or that the scabs needed to be coughed up? (Sorry for this many questions, I'm just a little scared for my surgery)..
Do you sleep well now? Feel less tired during the day? Does your concentration got better?does your chest voice got weaker? Thanks for your informations.
I have much less trouble with my throat now. I can’t necessarily say I’ve seen any change in how I sleep or concentrate. My chest voice is just as strong… maybe stronger. The only thing that has changed there is losing a few notes off the bottom of my lowest range. The real improvement was gaining control and strength in my mixed voice/ higher register:)
@@missjessicabooty Cool! In another video a woman said she was sleeping much better and didn't need naps of 3 hours during the day to recompose herself. I guess everyone has its own way to reach to this. Do you know what method they used it your surgery? Thanks !
I have a breathy voice.Whenever I try to sing higher,my voice sounds very breathy.I have enlarged tonsils. If I perform tonsillectomy, will i have clear voice?Or my voice type itself is breathy? Can u please say from ur experience?
I can’t give any legit advice but, in singing in general with or without tonsils you can control the amount of ‘breathiness’ you want in your voice. What I and (from what I have seen from others) it feels like you have more control and ease in getting the sound that you want from your voice once you have had the surgery - if that is something that really hinders your overall health/ vocal health. Hope that helps a bit:)
This beat is super nice The crunches are crisp Using them as the high hats is genius 👌 Definitely add some lyrics in.. How far are you with this track now 😍
Thank you for this brilliant comment! I added lyrics and made a music video last summer where I run around the London Underground with a basket of apples🤣🍎🍏 The song will be out 22.03.24❕❤️
I am in a music fraturinty and singing is a big part of it, and I am a power house saprano like almost Maria Carey notes. Sing queen of the night high. I need a UPPP so I am so stressed about it, you came up when I looked for how much my voice will change. Thank you for helping ease some of that for sharing what you went through
My surgeon had advised hard crunchy food such as dry toast because it would help to 'scratch' off the scabs. Not sure how long that was into the healing process but it's certainly pretty gross!
Thank you so much for making this video ❤️ You’re an angel❤️ Is it normal to lose your voice. Today is day 10 and I still can’t speak. It hurts even when I whisper. When will the vocal come back to normal? Pls help
I’m so sorry I didn’t see this for a while🥲 I hope you’re doing much better now❤️ I’m sure recovery is slightly different for everyone but I’m no expert so hopefully you were able to get some aftercare advice from your surgeon, wishing you all the best❤️
Sounds awesome! I'm not only impressed by the cover itself but your production quality as well! Each angle flowed really well, like you had a multi-camera set up. I'm excited to see more! 👀
How is your singing voice after the surgery? Many doctors have said to me I should get my tonsils removed but I'm afraid of don't being able to sing good again
so sorry only just seeing this! My singing voice one year after surgery is the best it has ever been! I may not be able to reach a couple of my previous lowest notes now but I've gained so much more such as ease of reach in my higher range. Hope the surgery went well!
I really appreciate hearing about your experience. I am a prof. singer/voice teacher and I had my tonsils out almost 3 weeks ago after over a year of chronic tonsillitis. I was wondering about your experience with getting back to singing. How long after surgery did you begin singing and how long before it felt comfortable? I have been doing a little vocalizing which sounds fine, but I feel tightness in the throat, front of neck, perhaps swelling? Not sure, but it’s uncomfortable and a little scary for a singer.
Sorry to hear about the chronic tonsillitis but hope you’ll be feeling much because of the surgery! I was guilty of being super excited to start experimenting lightly with singing about 3 weeks after the surgery. But it did not feel at all comfortable for me personally until about 8 months after surgery!! I agree w you in tightness and prob swelling, it’s certainly scary. For my I realised I was getting ahead of myself, only now about 9 months later do I feel like I’m completelyyyy healed (docs say tho it takes a full year to be completely healed!) thanks for the comment hope that helps a lil.
@@missjessicabooty Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my message. I know in my head that I have to be patient and take it slow, and it's very reassuring and helpful to hear about your experience. All the best!
dianna betit, so how’s it now in singing? I’m having mine out in 3 days. Will it be still free to sing in head voice due to much more air in throat? What’s up with mixed? Is your voice deeper or higher?
@@acat1676 hopefully dianna sees this! Once you're healed up (fully healed after a year) you'll notice much more ease in reaching your higher range, personally for me my mixed was wayyy easier to access w tonsils out but peak as i lost a small bit of my low range but that is to be expected and am wishing you a speedy recovery once you're out!
