This brings back a lot of memories for me as well; being raised to basically be a wife and mom and that's it. As a young child I was told over and over that my main purpose was to prepare myself for my husband and children, in the mormon church of course. I took it seriously because it came from my parents and church leaders; no other adult in my life was telling me any different. When you grow up that way you don't know what normal is until you either break away or someone is kind and patient enough to help you open your eyes.

I am a christian and I am not agaisnt anyone who wants to be a homemaker I have actually been wanting to be a homemaker for years and be able to take care of my family without having to work a full time job, however with all this being said I cannot stand these trad wife women who are wealthy and are encouraging women and indirectly showing off that they can be better than you because they are doing God's will and how they have it all together, these women make content for the likes, for the praises and money, don't fall for the lies.

Im single never married no kids i dodged those societal expectations and pressures. I work full time and though im self sufficient-full time work, life can get hard and very draining. Sometimes i envy the trad wife lifestyle. Just being able to be in your femininity and have a man take care of you and not have to worry about finances but this is a reminder that not all things are as great as they appear. A lot of men use money as a means of power and to control. I never wanna be in a position where a man has control over me because i depend on him financially. Even if you have a great husband who is well to do i think you always have to be prepared to stand on your own two feet because he could become sick or die. Life is always challenging, i think for all women whether you're living that cushy little trad wife life or single and independent. We just always have to be 2 steps ahead
