I was glued to the TV after the 1st Tower fell thinking 'It's gonna be weird only having one Tower!,' Then I saw the 2nd one collapse on live TV! I went into shock of course and stayed glued to the TV for 14 hours!
My brother and I were on vacation in Colorado. We were eating breakfast at a local restaurant and a man ran off the street screaming for them to turn the TV to CNN because a plane had just hit the World Trade Center. They changed the channel as the second plane was coming in.
My stepdad worked with horses and he was transporting them to Jordan. He said when he got there they were celebrating like it was the best thing since sliced bread shooting AK’s in the air and enjoying it. Such a disconnect in the Middle East compared to most of the world.
as someone who's went from fit to overweight to fit to dad bod to fit, married and not doing it for anyone but myself, it's crazy how many people see working out and being healthy as a red flag for a partner cheating.
The most gut wrenching moment of that day was the first time I saw footage of the Towers collapsing. The physical reaction I felt at that moment is a feeling I've never felt before or since. I felt a giant scream welling up in me as the horror of all those lives lost hit me, but at the same time it felt like every ounce of strength had left me. So instead of screaming, all I could get out was a faint whimper. The most surreal moment of that day came when I decided to go donate blood on my lunch break. As I drove through town, I kept looking around and street after street was just empty. No cars, no pedestrians. It felt very unnerving. Until I got closer to a gas station. Every gas station I passed had cars in line that spilled out into the street for a block out more. The feeling that I didn't recognize my own country was overwhelming.
4:12 When the user mentions the man on a news station, that was not correct. The man who screamed was Kevin Cosgrove. He was in the south tower, and he was speaking with 911. I have heard the audio and it was absolutely heart wrenching, because it shows the humanity of the victims. We will never forget ❤
I remember confusion as we were abruptly dismissed early from school with no explanation. Then I got home, turned on the news and saw coverage of the event, which made me more confused and horrified as to why people would cause such death and destruction for no clear reason. It was an inflection point in my 16 year old mind about the ugliness and cruelty of human nature. And politics since then (endless war against nebulous "terror", the great recession, resurgence of fascism, bungled response to climate change/pandemic etc.) have further lowered my faith in humanity. I think our civilization is in the early stages of a major collapse that will result in the global population being reduced by billions within the next century.
@@RedditOfSecrets1 get used to it. Political instability/corruption, climate catastrophe, mass migration, scarcity driven war etc. will likely intensify in the coming decades. Our civilization, in current form, isn't sustainable. Sorry, kids, the future is going to suck for a while.

The other week there was a spider on a web on a door and it was glitching out like moving really rapidly and spinning either that or the web itself glitched out also my hamster kept kicking the door cage open and running around
