Pressure treated lumber. 4x6 for framing and floor beams. 5/4x6 for decking. Bolted to frame using existing holes in frame, but did drill 2 new holes. No concerns for corrosion of truck frame, was well painted from ford. It was a temporary bed, so no concerns for warping, but the bed was very rigid and stayed flat while it was on the truck. Weight was not an issue for the f450. To each his own if you liked the music or not. Be blessed!
This is really great! Quick question, How think are your floor boards? I may be doing the same thing soon... Anything you would do differently 3 years later?
this is a time lapse video, why would he upload the video with no sound, music just makes it better. no matter what song he chose, always someone who isnt going to like it, so who gives a fuck and just upload the music you enjoy.
put a small space between each board to allow for expansion and contraction. Then screw the boards down every couple feet on the supports, he supported the ends of the board with a face board, screw boards down every couple feet and they wont warp. the small movement from heat and cold will hardly be noticeable. its when boards are not properly screwed down or supported they will warp because nothing is stopping it from moving.
