alright...someone should tell the second follower that this is not a solo competition. I know solo parts are often played these days in partnered competitions but when performed they are kind of coupeled (if you know what i mean), not at all like this lady, who didnt just danced on her own, but she even turned the back on her partner and refused his hand in three ocasions LOL. Besides, i dont think solo dance should take most of the partenered dance away in such competitions, but thats just an opinion.
To add to that, check out the 2018 Luck Of The Draw Advance Finals, I believe she's the last couple, comfortable leading resulting in really good following. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ue92ufbkmgY.html
They had personal moral iusses. You can judge her anyway if you think that she shouldn't bring up it in competitions. But it's important to know that she didn't show up by herself or she wasn't misunderstanding the essence of the competition.
Andrew Lin Yikai Yes, his dance style may not be the most couplely style there is (so to speak), rather individual but IMO you cant just refuse to dance. When you sign up to a competition you know you’ll find different styles. I’m not saying she is bad at following, it’s a matter of will.
Sara Zaccagnino she seems uncomfortable indeed, and if this personal issues are strong enough just refuse to dance (competitions are or should be about fun as well) specially if you are going to refuse to dance in front of everybody. Anyway I don’t think his kind of dancing could stand in the way on her pursue to express herself that much that she needed to break away so many times.
