If I ever get to introduce someone to seeing Zack Snyder's movies for the first time, I would have them watch Chalice of Blood & Curse of Forgiveness first before watching MoS, BvS & ZSJL, because any brutality in his DC films instantly makes sense and even appears extremely tame compared to the stuff Zack REALLY loves to film like with Rebel Moon. It's a similar effect I had watching Watchmen before seeing Snyder's Superman Saga.
I saw part of it when I was five during the Tommy Kennedy and Powermaster Optimus Prime era. I saw Dark Awakening first, so that was my death of Optimus Prime. Starscream's death and Megatron becoming Galvatron were very memorable moments. I found out it was a movie until 1993, when I was watching a game show called Clips. I got my first VCR in 1996. That's when I saw the whole movie. The soundtrack got me into hair metal and 80s music. I always wondered why they didn't destroy Unicron's head.
and i love star wars well should say the original 3 movies and the 3 prequals i liked then wham off a cliff egde off wokeness and just GARBAGE so so so sad
is anyone seriously gonna waste their time with the Acolyte i m jesus i was just able to barely get through Last Jedi without being violently ill from what i watched
Man I sure do hope ZSJL does go to IMAX! 🙏🤞 There day 1! I know it's all speculation and rumor at the moment but it's a no brainer and a easy way to make some money for them
You're talking shit and y'all barely beat the 7th seed with the youngest roster in the league. Wouldn't be too fucking proud of that considering the team y'all have coming to y'alls house on Sunday.
Because there are more Playstations sold than Xbox.....not hard to see. PS5 outsold Xbox series X 3 to 1. 22.5 million PS5's to 7.6 million Xbox's. Playstation doesn't need to make it on Xbox. They will get their sales regardless. But making it Xbox exclusive means missing out on 22.5 million potential units sold. Why would you ignore all of that money?
a bit of trivia, in case you didn't already know it... Orson Welles line deliveries were mostly incomprehensible , so the director had Leonard Nimoy redub quite a few of his lines.
Much respect and appreciation to you fellas for doing this. 1000% agree with all of your sentiments when it comes to Zack and his filmography, as it feels like you were pulling the same thoughts right out of my own head. Definitely hard to rank his films because when you go back and watch them many new feelings arise due to how much nuance and creativity are within them making you catch something new even years later. And while his DCEU trilogy is an timer, Man of Steel is my favorite CBM and one of my favorite all time films period. Never felt more connected to Superman than with that film. Yes, even Snyder's most prominent haters give him credit for his outstanding visuals but also use that point to slight him sighting that it's all he's good at. Yet they either purposefully or just don't realize that so much of his aesthetic flare and style is basically a language in itself both within the film and to the viewing audience(that want to get it anyway). Hell Sucker Punch may very well be his most robust display of that, and yet the broad scale misunderstanding of that film as a whole could be it's own movie. Snyder has been, is and will continue to be ahead of his time. I can't wait to see him get back in his bag with Rebel Moon.
