He published data from seven cherry picked countries of twenty-two he studied to fit his hypothesis and big foods desire to push highly profitable grains and sugar products. He once worked for Cracker Jack who got the contract to provide high calorie shelf stable rations to allied troops during WW2.
1500 calories? I know for sure I ate less than this for many years. I was always very skinny, I never ate breakfast, often only ate a few bites of my lunch. This wasn't an ED, I didn't and don't care about body weight or image. I just didn't have a big appetite.
John Yudkin, a British scientist, found that sugar was the enemy and fats were the saviour. The sugar industry backed Ancel Keys’, a US scientist, for his research into sugar ; saying fats were the enemy. Keys’ is responsible for killing millions world wide.
Ancel keys is guilty of GENOCIDE of all human. He perpetuated the needless deaths & suffering of countless Amercans. If alive, he should be sentenced to eat carbs and sugar all his life and suffers its consequences. AHA is complicit in pushing carbs & sugar as substances harmful to human health.
The flip side of short fasts like 24 hours, helps the body to make repairs. It's called autophagy. The other, evil side could have been exposed with the video by educating folks about the Holodomor, where the Ukrainian people were deliberately starved by stealing their seeds, farm implements, money, and the lockdown to prevent them from escaping.
Amazing isn't it. I eat the same food every day: egg and bacon at lunch time; steak/belly pork for tea. The calories don't equal what was being served here and yet I am full of energy and dont spend my time thinking about food. I believe what you eat is as important as how much you eat.
Sugar is the leading cause smoking is down cholesterol has nothing to do with heart disease funny why was his studies buried oh yeh they didn’t prove what he and those that paid him to do the study he was a fraud
The funny part is he was right but you ate alot of crap not what he advocates for ,the funnier part is the people living in the blue zones live on massive amounts of natural carbs
I was 64 years old..and 82 kgs .. a little heavy...Over a period of 18 months i embarked on a crazy exercise and diet.. ate less than 2,000 cals daily ... just lean chicken fish and greens with at least 2 litres of water daily..Im 6.1` so tall for a woman..... i lost 20 kgs .....although my diet was a protien based my digestive system suffered ..dry skin patches sores on my ass..and struggled to lay on my side when sleeping..due to pelvic bone protusion..I had great muscle tone on legs and upper body but the stomach pain was pretty bad..and although i sort of felt OK ??.. in the end the problems with stomach sent me too the doc....id gone too far and the lack of calories was causing blockages..so I came off the diet and in truth these days i rarely exercise bar walking gardening and occasional weight toning...I have gained 6 kgs..I have not regained the 20 kgs ..just 6kgs and steady.. I am now the weight i was at 30 with gym weekly..I am now 67...a very interseting video....
So interesting. I‘ve lived in this kind of starvation 2 times now, when I was 8, my mom decided to take me to our home country because of financial problems. We‘ve lived there for 2years and we were poor so we couldn’t afford us too much food, i remember eating cooked rice, lots of milk and some bread with cream cheese. I remember seeing my ripcage sticking out without sucking my stomach in, it was really scary to see that as a kid. Since I ate really little I used to get constipated a lot, sometimes I couldn’t even let it out for a whole week. We didn‘t exercise but we walked a lot, we barely stayed home we were out all day. I wasn’t even hungry at that time, I was just tired and always crying. My hair was pretty thin. What I noticed, someday my brother woke up from sleep and his whole left eye was swollen, we at first thought it was a bug that bit him, but now when I think about it I think it was an edema (idk how to write it) On some day my whole tongue got infected, I couldn’t eat anything because even when I moved my tongue a bit it started to hurt, I could only drink chocolate milk from a straw. My mother was 40kgs at that time and she directly got schizophrenia after, she has gained a lots of weight though, much more than her start weight My mother finally decided to take us to our family in our hometown and when they saw us they gave us so much food, i couldn’t even eat normal amounts of food anymore because my stomach capacity shrunk so much. After months of eating normally i started to wake up at night going to the toilet and throwing up a few times.
Great video, so interesting to hear from someone who was a part of it! Does anyone have suggestions of more research resources about this topic? Specially primary ones
