I’m here to talk all things tactics, analysis and players in the biggest matches across all European leagues as well as player signings and the discovery of the next best players out there.
Personable, on the ball analysis, presented by me, Statman Dave.
I hope that he has his team understand his tactics in the coming season. Pity that he had bad luck with the seniors but the U18s seem to understand the system much better.
You think the player want to play for mckenna? You can have the best high pressing tactician coach in the world but those player wont play high pressing for sure. They are built for counter attacking style from mourinho and ole reign. Get rid of the player first before the coach
It would help if you established anything you're saying. Not with anecdote. You make enough claims in this video to fill 10 videos. And they all sound reasonable enough, but that's extra frustrating because you don't know if something's been ignored or overemphasized. You need to slow down and back up things with data.
McKenna can be a future United manager but not right now. I want United to continue with ETH at least for another season, and likewise, want McKenna to get EPL experience before taking the big job
Diomande ahead of Leny Yoro😂😂😭😭. Literally history repeating wanting to go for Diomande when Inacio is right there with him. Like going for Lindelof when Ruben Dias was right there with him. Going for Antony Martial when Mbappe was right there with him. Going for Antony when Kudus was right there with him. Going for Morgan Schneiderlin when Virgil Van Dijk was right there with him. Be on the right side of history, i'm tired of getting these flops. 😅😅😅😅
Bruno mate he is the one who likes to play direct, it need 2 holding midfielders/box to box players for the way bruno played, bruno is not like erikson type of player who likes building from the back, control the ball for possesion. he likes to play direct counter attacking game where he thrived. for MU to succed in midfield is Play Mainoo in a role he thrived on his debut as a number 8. after england debut mainoo often used as a box to box lately. and doesnt control the game so well like he used to when his debut
Nope. Sorry dave. I disagree with this video entirely, we don't have the players to play like ajax. That ajax team was so good because ALL 11 players fit the mold of possession football. Utd's transfer strategy has been so shit we always buy high profile players who come from different tactical backgrounds rather than buy the right players. We have no vision. And as a result we have a mixture of players with various tactical profiles. Half the squad have the individual profile for a counter attacking team and the other half for possession. Marcus rashford is not a possession player. Casemiro and varane from RM weren't a possession team. So no sorry we can't make it work unless we move these players on and focus on players with possession tactic profiles.
Leverkusen have players with similar profile even with their second team. United have players signed by four different managers all having different profiles. Injuries affect a team like united more than it affects a team like leverkusen.
I don't think it will be a good idea to change ETH. He developed a team with his playing mentality. If another manager comes, he has to change the whole team structure again. Again, it will take one season to accustom a team with a new manager playing styles. So, ETH should give another season and give ETH 4/5 signing to see how he manage the team. It takes time for players to get accustomed to his system because some of his signings are bad and there are lots of injury issues. Under ETH many young players outshine in OT like Mainoo, Garnacho, Hojlund, and now Amad. He gives sustainability in the squad which is hard to see in other previous managers after Sir Alex.
Now they are UCL team you could do a video on what areas they need to improve big season ahead. I’ll start mentioning Geertruida, Baena as starters and backups for midfield and LB, Ndidi and why not try Zinchenko he might he on the market.
Why are so many people talking about managerial replacements post Fergie era when back then, and NO ONE talked about Sir Alex himself had placed lower than 10th in his first 4 years at Man Utd THREE times? Believe in the Process of Ten Hag.
The only thing that I can contribute here is that the same was said about Vincent Kompany's Burnley a year ago... They were nailing it in the Championship, beating everyone handsomely, playing possession based football, sexy football etc... and when they came to the Prem League, they were the whipping boys... milking cows. The jump from the Championship to the PL is extremely high... too high for tiny clubs like Ipswich to survive...
Utterly absurd comment. Ipswich has a tremendous and illustrious history and is not a tiny club. It is the only club to have had a manager that went on to win England the World Cup - did you know that ? It also made the reputation of the late great Sir Bobby Robson.
@@paddycable1723you have a great history. So do Burnley. I would love ipswich to stay up. But they are a tiny club in what matters now. Funding and size of crowd.
People really underestimate that step up from the Championship to the premier league. It usually exposes the fake from the real, we will see if Ipswich are the real deal soon enough.
bla bla bla ....A lot of conflicting rhetoric. How can a coach succeed in positional play and achieve results with players playing out of position all season due to injuries and then blame it on the coach? Then at the end you praise Rashford and how he is oppressed by the new style of play when you assume he is playing as a striker when in fact he has been playing as a left winger all season, and how his advantage is dribbling when this season seeing Rashford dribble is disgusting and he has no tactical role to play. Man, he doesn't even want to run.
