Actually, she's not. She literally just threw herself on the line to get him off of the hook. He's no longer obligated to the FBI. He's free because she stepped up. She listened and let the Pikeman deal play out (just like he asked for her to do)... and guess what? Everything happened just like she expected. So, she took control and risked everything for Jason (just like he did for her).

Anna is very two faced and wishy washy she will tell Jason and Carly they are to blame for what’s happening to them but on the flip side she supports Valentin who is also a criminal. Not to mention Anna has done some criminal things in her past and also lived outside the lines as she says. She also committed a crime letting Valentin skip town with Charolette knowing he was a wanted man she makes no sense.

Honestly, I'm not even a major JaSam fan, but this dialogue was such a slap in the face to their rich history. JaSam vs Liason has been the show's bread & butter. Add Lucky and LuLu into the mix & we have ourselves some soapy goodness. I mean wtf are the writers doing? I remember SBu said they changed the story. I have to wonder what was Jason's original return storyline supposed to be bc this BS is not it.
@@pb4ugo19 the actor wanted to see the outcome of after Jarly got married, I don't see why people are mad that the natural outcome of them putting each other before everyone. It is actually wrong to want someone to be in a relationship with them knowing if they are giving a choice Jarly would prevail, he jokes about Carly having his baby and called being Joss stepdad before the storyline came out. I think they started to change the Jarly outcome or write it so low-key people would be experiencing their love development without realizing it.
Correction, it was his special place with Robin AND Liz. He took Liz there several times when they used to go on motorcycle rides together. Jason even gave liz boxing lessons there. It was his special place with both Robin and Liz.

Lol there’s never going to be a time when he’s not at her beck in call. In reality most of the time she doesn’t even have to ask him. He’s always going to be there for Carly regardless of what’s going on in the rest of his life because he legitimately can’t stop himself from doing so. Mostly because he doesn’t want to, he enjoys being her everything.

I think Jason needs to keep spending time with Liz and he'll remember what it was like to be "free" and she will too. They used to go on motorcycle rides together and jason used to travel here and there and go to churches and museums to see paintings. I've been noticing they've been sprinkling in Liason lines here and there. Sam's line to Carly about her "coming in first, last, and always" was the EXACT line Liz said to Jason when they broke up in 2002, except it was about Sonny. And now with jason saying he doesnt know how to "feel free", that was Liz's line to Jason during their early days in 2002 as well i believe. "You make me feel happy, you make me feel free". Elizabeth Korte was the writer back then for those lines. I think shes leaving bread crumbs and hints for a Jason/Liz pairing again. I think if Jason starts being around Liz more, i think they may go down memory lane and they'll remember who they were when they first met. Liz already mentioned if jason remembered her wanting to be an artist back in the day. He said he did remember. Liz was so much more lively when she first met jason and she loved riding with jason. Jason even told Courtney in 2002 "with Elizabeth, everythings great when nothings going on. And we *really* connect when we're alone." Which is still true til this day, as proven by their recent scenes and especially by the pool. I think given time, we might get to see vintage Liason again and they can both remember who they were. Jason wasnt just sonny's enforcer when he was around liz back in the day. He smiled, made jokes, they had *deep* conversations with each other, they shared their feelings and emotions and Jason was so open and vulnerable with Liz. Add that, to the love they shared of motorcycle rides and they were amazing together. Jason showed he was so much more than just sonny's enforcer when he was around Liz.
I get it - I feel that way about my OTP. The nicest thing I can say is that Liz and Jason are definitely not it for me. Also, they love to lead on all the "almost, but not quite shippers," so don't get too invested. 😅
Okay...but what has changed since then...exactly. He isn't working for Sonny now but we know that will change and Carly does still come first with him. I get you like them as a couple but I'm not sure what has changed that would make them work. That's great they connect when they are alone but that's not a realistic relationship because they aren't going to be alone. A real relationship will work regardless if your alone or not. Nothing against Liz but Liason just didn't work, mainly because they live 2 different types of lives. Not to mention, it's 2024...not 2002. And the one that's left standing after Robin, Sam and Liz...is still Carly. Now personally, I don't want a Jarly romance, I like them as besties, but it's clear whomever Jason is with...is gonna have to be secure enough to deal with the Jarly friendship...no different than with whomever they will pair Carly with next. I just don't see that being Liz and I think Liz deserves better than that honestly. She should be with someone who can put her first. That's just not Jason. And after this last fiasco with the entire town turning their back on Jason (even though Liz remained neutral) it was Carly and her cubs that were there defending him without even needing an explanation. Trust and believe Jason took count of everyone and where they stood when he needed support the most. Considering Steve only signed on for 2 years and he plans on retiring after this role, even if they did pair them, it would be over before it really even started anyway.
@@tdomonique504 I get what your saying, and some are valid points. But jason has changed a bit. As recently seen, he doesn't want to go back to the mob. Which was a huge, if not the biggest obstacle for Liason. Now that jason doesn't want to go back, he and Liz can try to make it work. The only thing that really kept them apart was jason choosing the mob over a life with her. It was never due to a lack of love or a lack of a bond. He is clearly ok with his current job as a coffee importer, so i dont see that being an issue between them. It gives him his freedom and he knows how to run it as it's been partially his for almost 30 years. He's also willing to fight for his kids this time around, when before he just left the decisions up to the mothers. So he's shown he's willing to fight for things this time around when before he would just leave things up to everyone else, instead of fighting for what he wants. As far as Carly, liz never really had a problem with Carly coming first. Yes, she like everyone, was annoyed by it, but Liz always understood that carly was needy enough to come first. She's never really had a problem with it. It was actually the other way around. Carly has always had a problem with Jason putting Liz over her. Which was never liz's fault, but carly always took it out on her anyways, and got in lizs face about jason and how she should stay away from him. She was terrified of losing her place in jasons life. Which he's almost always done if you really look back at their whole history since the 90s. There were only a few cases in which jason put carly above liz. And that was for the really dire situations. Like in 2002-2003. But Liz is the one woman jason was capable of putting above carly, and carly has always been afraid and threatened by that fact. It's why she's hated liz for so long. Carly even told Liz in 2012 that she always felt threatened by her and her bond with jason. In 2008, carly even called out jason for how much he was putting liz above her and Jason made it extremely clear that he would not allow carly to speak ill of liz. She told jason how hurt she was by the fact that he wasn't making time for her anymore, how he wasn't talking to her at all, and that she felt like she was someone he had to tolerate, which she said he's NEVER made her feel before. Even when he was with Sam. In 2007-08 jason was all about putting liz above carly and it drove her crazy. Not saying jason didn't put Sam first a few times up til that point (2008), but nothing like he did with Liz. He never made carly that afraid of not being first anymore, and yet he did it for Liz. True that was during 2008, and it's now 2024, and even though they have re written jarly friendship to appear to be stronger than ever, liz and carlys relationship has also changed so much. Carly now doesn't view liz as a threat, she actually views her as a friend now. She's more understanding of liz and is more supportive where she is concerned. Liz is also still very understanding of jason and carlys friendship and is still aware of just how strong that bond is. She brought it up during their talk about francos death if I remember correctly. So the whole jarly thing coming first I don't think will be an issue. Both women now understand where they stand with jason. And while yes, liz does deserve to be put first I think she will be. Just not in the way carly is. And liz knows that, she's always accepted that.
