1999 1.2 16v 5 door First car first love Didn't treat her well but she never let me down Wore more tires in my first three years of driving than the next 20 My box standard corsa got all fours off the ground several times Best/worst was dundry in Bristol Jumped at least two car lengths Because my friend said the road "drops a bit" (Cracked sump and bent suspension arm) Friend tried to recreate the jump in the day time And wrote her corsa off after turning mid air because of oncoming van ripped off tyres flipping several times until landing upsidedown in a hedge Some how nobody was hurt Great car have always been tempted to get another And buy the mods i couldn't afford at 17
The 1.6 petrol is a BMW and Mini engine and they are the worst engine I have the same car but 1.6 diesel and it has nearly 200,000 on the clock and never had an issue only had to do brakes and two front springs and services on it the diesel engine on Citroen and Peugeot are bullet proof engine and will go on for ever
@@andrewrichards4815 I asked that but they said they wouldn't give a warranty on it. But it's all done and dusted now I have a replacement motor. It's a shame I didn't have my spare car running otherwise I would have waited. Such is life unfortunately
@@blurbosh you would get warranty from the company you buy it from. Oh well abit late now hope ya happy with new car wat is it by the way? Always reach out to forums there are very helpfull poeple out there
I had a black Y reg 1.8 SXI saloon years ago,it was 3 years old when I bought it with 77k and a FSH,ex company car,great car loads of room big boot etc.
I like this car and my girlfriends mum has a Peugeot 3008 Gt and that's really nice and my family member has a mokka 1.2 3 cylinder turbo engine think it's 136bhp 6 speed manual with the same engine 2023 great drive but boot is small the grandland x is a good choice
Lovely car but that is one engine i would never buy the wet belts are horrendously bad unless your servicing it every 5k it will break regardless even with the so called rough new belt its not a fix, if i was you service it every 5k or you will have problems
Hi, I am sorry to learn this. Not to be insensitive but I have been trying to get an Opel part (the holder for radar sensor, part number 39079563) for 7 months and it’s all been out of stock. Is there any chance I can buy this part from you car since my car has been in garage since then. Thank you
Yes I'm now in debt with this one starting off a new 5 year term with it however my payment are well within my limit enough so that although higher than I would prefer I can still put money in the savings to make an overpayment to reduce my future payments which this time I will 100% be doing. So in summary yes I'm on dept taking out a new finance plan however not so much that I can't afford to do things such as repairing my 1998 Vectra or going abroad. I'm fortunate than both me and my partner are in decent paying jobs to be able to afford this however the time scale the insignia died was unfortunate after spending a bit keeping up with it's maintenance every 6 months. I'm over the moon with this car and feels much more comfortable to drive and get it and out of with my current health issues. Stay tuned for more content 😎
I believe i would still be waiting for a clutch now if i didnt move on, sadly had to leave my beautiful car behind, hope your uncles doesnt follow the same fate :( already missing it.
@@blurbosh his is on finance and he has had the car a good few years now sorry about your car I had a vauxhall meriva b 2016 1.6 cdti and the timing chain had a rattle very common fault on the 1.6 cdti
@@chrislewis7528 as explained in my last video of the car mine was on finance still too i had less than 2 years to go and took a loss on the car as i rely on it with a small family now. i loved every bit about the car and its performance fuel wise and handling wise but with my back issues seemingly worsening i decided it was worth the jump for something else. stay tuned for that video. :)
As a Insignia (Opel) owner myself, i can just say that i absolutely love this car. Im a sucker for Opel in general but this car is my 2nd favorite Opel after the Calibra. Mine is from 2018 and has an all black interior and the some extras like the keyless unlock and start. I do not have the rear whiper since that's the thing i don't like. I have also thing i don't like, but these are minor things...
A LUK clutch set including the clutch bearing is 280 Euro's in Germany. A cheaper brand 200. Why not let the garage order that in Germany, pay some import tax and then fix the car. I ordered a lot of parts in GB for the RR classic and the mini and no problems at all. And no warranty is just BS on the garage part.
Unbelievable it is honestly. The insignia is now gone and have the new car which will appear in future videos. Gutted is an understatement. But needs must I rely heavily on a decent car to get around in at the moment. Bad timing for it to go but is always the way it goes with cars sadly. My local garage was saying it's not just Vauxhall affected at the moment. 😢
You should have tried bleeding the clutch line first then seeing if a pin had come out... Williams Mobile Clutch (on youtube) does the job on your driveway. Questmead reconditions clutches.
