I have a Tony Franklin fretless. It had the typical fender dead spot. I did not expect this bridge to help with that- but it all but eliminated it- I’m bloody impressed
This was quite helpful. I have a similar problem but with a solid state Fender Princeton Chorus and a faulty input jack. With your video, I think I may attempt the repair despite the difference in tube technology vs. a solid state board.
Thank you so much!! Same exact issue here, purchased from craigslist and only had that annoying buzz at low volume. I thought I was going to have to replace the speaker.
I have a Red Knob Twin amp. Each of the input jacks work, but if the cables are moved slightly, the sound dies. I have to tap the cables into a certain place before the sound comes back again.
Had same exact issue and was rather surprised to find these beads but no little silica pouch leaking beads. BTW if anyone does actually blow a speaker hartke has replacements for 150.00. Hartke is my go-to gear and has been for at least 20 years. Great tech support even with covid going on.
Strange, I did not had such things in my cab or on the speaker. But anyway this speaker is terrible, has lack of lows and lack o power, so I replaced it witht Faital Pro 12PR300 4ohm. Now it is much louder and goes deeper and I'm preety sure that now I will not blow it with TX300 :D
Their combo amps are just as solid. I have an HD75 combo and the only concern I have is that I may have to carry it more than 50 feet. Its a tankbu itst heavy and awkward to carry. Its basically an anvil with a speaker in it.
Just bought a speaker (4x10 Harley Benton) that makes those awful parasite noises, didn't find much info on internet, but I feel more confident about getting inside with your vid ! Thanks I hope I find what is the source :)
Nice video, only part I didn't like is you're avoiding the subject of 'how not to make this amp kill you' by plainly saying "only touch the parts around the input jack". I think that's bad practice, stimulating diy amp repair on the one hand but avoiding the most important subject on the other hand. I personally think it's your responsibility to teach people how to do this safely OR don't teach them at all.
It looks like your foundation is coming along nicely with your piano playing skills, congrats on progressing to chords! This is cool that you are sharing your journey with us, I am glad I came across you today and look forward to seeing your playing as you continue!
Thanks so much! My goal is to be able to play professionally one day (hopefully sooner than later) so I decided to just spend the money now instead of having to upgrade an entry level keyboard. Also acts as a little incentive so I don't waste my money :-)
Well done for going the self taught route, that takes discipline. I was a self taught guitar player for several years quite a long time ago but found that I became very unbalanced in my playing as I’d focused on one genre. With piano I’ve chosen (as much as I can) to ignore all my prior knowledge and follow the path set by the method books I’ve chosen to use and also the teacher I have just started with. This time I want to be guided, particularly as piano seems to have a fairly universal path into it. Keep posting, I’ll be following along.
Thanks so much! I started out as a trumpet player for over 10 years. Took private lessons so I had lots of guidance. Then I taught myself bass starting about 5 years ago. I definitely ran into the issues with imbalanced learning a bit but joining a cover band that plays many different styles helped me to broaden my horizons. Now I want to teach myself piano just to be able to say I'm self taught. Perhaps I am limiting myself with that line of thinking but we'll see how far I can get. See you soon!
If you don’t own an instrument and have the money, a high end turntable has many possibilities of tweaks and nerding out. It does get very expensive though
After your comment on my video, I decided to check out your channel. And man this is some high quality content. Keep up the good work, I’m giving you a subscribe
