This channel is all about my journey from little knowledge on distilling to the creation of a Micro Distillery in Canada. I will cover the building of a still and decisions to why I chose a particular design which should be versatile in different configurations. Also many recipes for all types of distilled spirits, cutting and aging. I will also be doing road trips to other distillers to learn how they progressed to become a Micro Distillery and at times I will have others in the shop for tastings of each product I attempt. Join along with me as I progress and create something I consider amazing! Also follow along as I create complete failures and learn from each attempt. Welcome to the great white North and let’s jump right in!
How thick is your copper plate? .125? And the holes on the side.of your tips. Did you put 2 hole all the way thru making a tea intersection? Or did you put 4 holes half way thru?
I work in a welding shop and all of our blown plasma tips get saved into a bucket. I always thought I could use those for bubble plates. Never given it a shot. I need to get a little sheet copper and do that.
From time stamp 52 seconds to 1 min there was a familiar shape in the background and all I could hear in my head was “EXTERMINATE!” Thats awesome. If you know, you know. Have a great day.
i just got this video randomly on my youtube feed and i check out the website, the hibiscus gin looks pretty good, does anyone know if they do shipping to the US?
Congrats on your achievements. Its quite the accomplishment. Would have been nice to have seen more of your journey but hey, we'll take what we can get. If I ever get out to Ontario I will make a point of coming to see and meet you. Its a bit of a jaunt from B.C. and I don't travel much but you never know.
Congrats on your awards! I have been helping a father and son team in Hot Springs Arkansas at their small distillery. I have been amazed at the work and time required even in a real small operation. We manage to put down one barrel a week on average. Only have one still that functions as a cooker/stripper still/spirit still, so it stays busy. They will reach a point in one year where all the storage area they have will be full so trying to decide how to expand. I love the business and you are correct, it is a passion.
Love the update, hearing things are going well and the tip of the cap to George at the end was perfect. Keep up the hard work. Looking forward to getting out there someday soon.
Congratulations on your awards! Your hard work paid off. I'm impressed with your equipment Bob and Doug are pretty big. Try to get your videos out , really injoy watching them and learning more. Thanks 👍

We all knew you would turn that distillery into an award-winning brand! Congratulations on doing just that! We here in the lower 48 are all waiting for your product to become available in our local liquor store. Condos for sticking it out!
Congrats on the great award, can't wait to visit and share a toast to your distillery, Wow you've come a long way. I remember when you were making hand sanitizer and giving it away to the local medical services, that was a very big sacrifice you made for others.
Great job with your success and awards ! Thanks for the tour of your shop very impressive to me. Get your license done and you'll be set. Happy new year friend from Virginia.
