I'm a thru-hiker who lives in an old cabin. I film my renovations and write about hiking. New cabin video every other week! :) All my walking stories and pictures are on my website!
Wow! The work you put in. Very nice. One tip when drilling in rocks and concreate and such with the hammer drill. Dont press too hard. It usually goes quicker when you just keep the drill from bouncing and then letting the drill do the hammering. When pushing too hard the hammering becomes less.
Google - plywood homemade sheet carrier. I've seen someone using a thin rope or heavy cord and then there's several designs where you could make a 'carrier' out of some of the scraps you already have. Then you'd have a 'sheet' carrier for any future projects where you are needing a plywood or OSB carrying.
Sorry - many apologies but at 28:28 I had to crack a smile and even chuckle a little bit! Ahhhh mmmmmm... Athletic Greens.... nutrient drink.... yummy.... (lol.... sorry - and I realize this is not fair as I have never sampled AG)
Keep being precise and keep on getting it to the best mm measurements you can. You’ll be SO annoyed if you don’t! Your cup of coffee is level in your cup when you sit out there! That’s the reward of your efforts (among a hundred other things)! Keep up the excellent work. 👍
Loving your content. A true inspiration for those who are wondering 'could I do that?' Have you thought of reaching out to a company that sells electric tricycle. Would be more stable in winter and for dragging heavier loads perhaps.
Love watching. Thank you for the inspiration. I found a thing for my house which was putting a water boiler behind the log burner. And then I could run hot water round pipes like radiator in other rooms. Might work for you too 🤷♂️
Hej Rosie! Mijn dochter en ik zijn net terug van de sörmlandsleden, een 2 weekse hike gedaan. Zoveel herkenning in je video! Machtig mooi daar! Bedankt voor je mooie video en je moeders mooie verhalen! ❤
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos- though you are working so hard, it´s relaxing to me, sorry. In fact , I learned to take more time in planning my own projects to get a better result in the end. And as fall is coming now, I am really happy that you can have it warm & cozy in your house. Maybe someday something like a bath stove (it´s like a big Kelly Kettle) would be great?!
Hi Rosie, I love your videos so much ! I have watched them over and over again ! So beautifully done ! But could u tell me the artists name who plays the hauntingly beautiful piano music when u r making ur jersey mididress?
Rosie - I'm viewing ep.75 at the moment. At around the 29:39 minute mark you start peeling off a wallpaper sort of surface off your walls and start talking to us. It shows that you were stuffing perhaps some 'rockwool' sort of material IN TO the crack between the chimney and wall. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT practice is allowed - in other words make sure THAT IS TO 'CODE'. That stuffing rockwool is allowed according to the local building codes! I want to make sure that you doing that doesn't violate the code as maybe it is not exactly safe or creates a fire hazard or danger. Apologies for so many comments in such a short time. Back to ep. 75 for me. UB
Also, I'm just curious - how do you design when CAD is perfectly square and the house/rooms you have are not? I suppose you just have to 'go with the flow' and adjust on the spot. Is that hos you do it? Makes for a bunch of customized work doesn't it? But hey, it's YOUR place and your time. Back to ep 77.UB
Beautiful job! Also the number 1 recipe of all time is this PLUM TORT! I can never find the plums you grow! And it’s sooo simple… you should look it up!
I love your videos but every time I watch them I get stressed out about the state of your wood panel and windows, they look in such desperate need of some paint and restoration to not fall apart :')
I heard you say you were going to get the fans! I personally think you are an absolutely amazing “young” woman! Your skills and talents are just so impressive and your confidence is beyond belief! I am a 79 year old old lady! I love watching your show! When I was young because of the environment that I was brought in and my parents did it because they love me, but I had some issues so I actually had to listen to a subliminal tape on self-confidence in order to become self-confident. But it worked so I set out on a path in my late 20s to use that confidence to become the woman I wanted to be. I am an introvert who loves being alone. I can work on things I love and don’t care what others think. I love watching you tackle new projects and I love you sharing your thought process with us. You are a wonderful example of what we can all accomplish if we set our minds to it. For those asking you how to change their lives one of the techniques I used frequently when I was younger was at night as I was falling asleep I visualize and felt the feeling of what it would be like living the life I wanted to live. What an adventure that was. Miraculous events occurred that opened doors for the next step and it seemed easy to move in that direction. All came about quickly and I moved to the next life I had envisioned. I have had a wonderful adventure in my life and I love watching your adventure unfold!
The idea with using a 3d printer to do a mock-up is absolutely great. I think I will trye that but then I need to learn how to draw 3d drawings or maybe hire someone to do it. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Hi Rosie, Watching your videos has changed me. I enjoy my solitude more and am doing some small reno projects on my home. I ride my bike to get groceries now, even though I live in a very busy city in California. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey.❤
